When you feel your experience as a company employee is useless

"Even though I worked so hard at the company (or am working hard now), I have no expertise and nothing I can do."

Have you ever felt that way?

For a long time, I felt exactly that way.

I spent 11 years as a company employee.
I experienced both sales and head office administrative work.

But,

I had no expertise.
I had no management experience.
I had no skills.

There was nothing I could
proudly say, "I can do this."

Because of that feeling, even though I was interested in starting my own business,

"Someone like me..."
"There are people who can do so much more..."
Those thoughts would arise,

"I want to do it, but I can't."


I remained in a state of "preparing for entrepreneurship" for a long time,
and I lost my self-confidence and self-trust.

But,

that was wrong.

That is what I think now.

However,

I just hadn't created the "opportunity"
to put my company experience to use.

That is what I think.

Now,

I was able to start my business because I had my experience as a company employee!

I can say that clearly.

If your know-how, skills, and achievements from your time as a company employee are
"easy to understand,"

you can turn them into your own "product"
and get your business off the ground,
don't you think?

But,


if you don't have anything "easy to understand,"
don't you think things like,
・Let's get a certification! or・Let's deepen my learning!

Let's fill in what I'm missing!
don't you think that way?

That was exactly me,
I got certifications,
and I spent a ton of money on learning, haha.

If you don't have an easy-to-understand "I can do this,"
you don't have anything that can be a "product,"
so you can't start a business.

It's natural to think that way, isn't it?

But,

what is truly necessary

is not adding "easy-to-understand skills" from the outside,

but even if you don't have anything that seems easy to understand at first glance,

how your past experiences can be put to use,
and in what way they can be helpful.

It's about trying various things.

And when I say "try," you don't need to overthink it;
the first things you should do are:

・Try meeting people

・Try talking to people
・Try writing on a blog, etc.

It means taking action yourself
to create those "opportunities."

The very first time I earned money,
it was for "document creation assistance."

I reached out to an acquaintance who was an entrepreneur, saying,
"How have you been lately? Let me hear your story!"
and while we were talking,

I mentioned,
"I can help you with document creation if you'd like."

That turned into a job,

and led to my first cash earnings.

It wasn't something I particularly wanted to do at the time,
but the fact that "document creation," which I had just done every single day

during my time as a company employee,
could become a job
was a bolt from the blue.

Even so, when I tried it,

"Thank you! You helped me organize my thoughts!"
"You saved me!"

were the words
I received from the client.

For the first time,

I thought, "Oh, I have nothing I can do," but I actually did!!

I can actually use what I did at the company!!

I realized that.

That is,

because I created this "opportunity" myself,
and tried saying, "I can do this,"
that I was able to feel that way!!

Ever since I had this realization,

I realized that just because I think I can't do something,
it might actually turn into something I "can do"
if I offer it to someone else.

I became able to stop labeling the experience I have as "useless,"
and started building up the things I can do, one by one!

By doing that,
one by one,
the things I could do increased,

and while I was at it,

I am now in a place I never imagined back then,
where I "help others start their businesses."

The reason I have been able to come this far
is precisely because I had
the experience I gained as a company employee!

And that is not limited to
the skills and know-how I cultivated through that experience,
but also,

the things I felt there,
the things I valued,
the things I was passionate about,
the things I liked,

there were so many of them,


and even though the form of my "work" has changed,
they have become my important core!

That is how I feel!

You can definitely make use of
what you experienced in your life as a company employee!!
