[Min-Hai Halloween Party] I would like to participate in the 'Funny Haiku' contest!

It might not be directly related to Halloween, but since it's a 'Funny Haiku,' I hope you enjoy it♪

Worked so hard on it,
Face carved out and then sliced up,
Simmered in the pot,
Steaming pumpkin on the plate,
Triangular bits of skin.

I wonder how many years ago that was.
I had the day off on Halloween, so I thought, 'I wonder if the kids would be happy?'
I carved a face into a pumpkin with a knife and left it by the entrance to show the kids when they got home from school.

But the pumpkin was gone before the kids even got home.

I was wondering where it had gone, and then...

At the dinner table that night, there was simmered pumpkin.

'Who was playing around by drawing a face on the pumpkin? Don't waste food!'

The sight of the triangular-cut skin pieces appearing in the simmered dish was heartbreaking😅
