The 'Solo Nasal Irrigation Promotion Committee' — Nameplate —
There is a nameplate on the hospital bed, but the text above my name says 'Otolaryngo-parakeet' 😂
If it's a character limit issue, wouldn't 'Otolaryngology' be fine? Or is it a consideration because 'larynx' is hard to read? Are there no patients who point this out??
If I were a nurse working there, I'd definitely have the confidence to say something imprudent like,
“Otolaryngo-parakeet’s Ms. △▽ is here~”
It is no exaggeration to say that the sincere attitude of the staff, who are likely not like that, is worthy of respect.
It's a charming hospital, not just because of the delicious hospital food; I'm proud of it as a local.
In the four-person room that doesn't cost extra for the bed, the young woman next to me is also under 'Otolaryngo-parakeet', and while the two across from me have changed, they seem to be from other departments. I wonder how their plates are labeled?? I didn't have the guts to check, though 🥹
Because...
The 'Otolaryngo-parakeet' woman seemed to have had surgery on her tonsils or something, and like me, she was relatively well and could walk around pulling her IV drip, but the two from other departments seemed to be struggling with going to the bathroom... maybe even eating?? They seemed to be having a hard time, and their curtains were often closed.
There must be various painful illnesses I don't know about.
I, too, might have been wailing and restrained, or writhing in pain, depending on the circumstances.
I want to eat potato chips 😆
Saying that is just luck because I'm doing well, and it would be rude to my roommates, even for a short time, to make a crunching sound and fill the room with the smell of chips.
At the very least, I'll make it a personal rule of etiquette to close the box every time I take one out, and to savor each bite by chewing slowly and moistening it thoroughly with saliva.
If there's any sign of them heading to the bathroom, I'll hold off. Fortunately, this is a hospital; I feel like my dignity, even if I were to have an accident, would be minimally damaged.
My nose is stuffed with gauze, but if my mood gets stuffed up, it might be good to look at the 'Otolaryngo-parakeet' nameplate; I'm sure it'll make me chuckle warmly...
😳😳😳 Oh! 😳😳😳
W-was that the intention?! 😳😳😳
Providing a spice of humor for hospitalized patients who tend to feel down... as expected, it's a wonderful hospital!
【My Nasal Irrigation】
I had a question about whether nasal irrigation devices could be kept clean, but there were proper instructions for that!
