Things I can do from now on.
#226
Good morning.
The issue of my elementary school-aged children being overly attached to me, their mother.
Their father is too busy with work and is almost never home.
It is complete solo parenting.
I thought things were fine in many ways, but I was wrong.
I thought we were still a family that was doing well, but that might not be the case.
My children stopped going to school and have started spending even more time closely with me.
I thought I was well aware of my over-involvement and over-protectiveness, but I realized that I cannot change unless I am more conscious of "letting go" than I currently think I am.
I have realized once again that in order for my children to grow and become independent, and to live by their own strength, I must be the one to change first.
Because I am a negative thinker, I have been denying all the hard work I have done until now. But I believe that is something I must not do to myself.
Because the me of the past did the very best she could at the time.
Let me do what I can from now on.
