Self-introduction: Why I started note
My son was diagnosed at age 3 with
1. Autism Spectrum Disorder (passive type)
2. Developmental Coordination Disorder
He is currently in the third grade of elementary school, enrolled in a regular class.
After our son was diagnosed, my husband also found out he has Asperger's.
I was anxious and spent all my time crying.
I couldn't even see the near future, let alone what would happen.
Was the diagnosis really correct?
What can a parent do?
What parts of my son are his traits?
Whenever I had free time—no, even when I didn't—
I read every single article I could find by parents who were sharing their experiences about their children's traits on blogs and other platforms.
Whether they were raw, unedited posts,
simple notes about daily events,
or, of course, detailed articles,
I was grateful for all of them.
When I didn't know what to do,
I found hints in those articles that helped me as a mother understand my son.
Now that my child is in elementary school and I have some time for myself,
I want to write the kind of articles I wish I could have read back then.
It might seem hopeless,
but if you try different approaches and effective interventions,
they will grow. It will be okay.
You are not alone.
With that thought in mind, I decided to start note.
Also, by reading everyone's articles, I want to deepen my knowledge of Autism Spectrum Disorder, Asperger's, and Cassandra syndrome,
and I would love to connect with others who are working as hard as my son and I are. Thank you for your support. 🤲
⭐️Content I want to share⭐️
<Approaches that were effective>
When my son was in the youngest year of preschool, he was significantly behind children with typical development and was in a state where he could not possibly attend a regular class. However, after gathering information from doctors, speech-language-hearing therapists, occupational therapists, books, and blogs, and working on it, he is now happily attending a regular class and enjoying his school life.
1. Approaches regarding language delays
2. The process by which my clumsy son learned movements
3. Dealing with my son's strong anxiety
4. Dealing with school refusal
5. Things I do to build a smooth relationship with the school
6. Meals for those sensitive to taste and chemical seasonings, practiced by a chef
7. Preparations to perform well in pre-school health checkups
8. How piano lessons with a music therapist are going
I am posting about these topics, while also including my interactions with my Asperger's husband. If you have any questions like 'I want to know about this' or 'How do you handle this?', please feel free to write them in the comments section❤️
I'm waiting for them!😆❤️
Since starting note,
connecting,
circulating,
there is a kind world.
We are not alone.
"A world that begins"
