Wait a second. A story about how my world on note expanded through a hashtag born from a misunderstanding. I want to crawl into a hole #PeraPeraEssay #WhatAreYouTalkingAbout
There is a genre called the Pera-Pera Essay.
Here it is.
Things that make you feel lighthearted when you read them.
But you know, I thought this "Pera-Pera" meant thin or lacking substance.
Because I'm a klutz, my thinking is just too shallow.
I can only read what is written. I can't read between the lines, or decipher the subtle emotions of the characters hidden behind the dialogue. I am truly, intensely stupid.
Just existing is embarrassing. It's sad.
Still, the mentality to keep living my best life is pretty impressive, too.
When I read everyone's Pera-Pera Essays here, I realized, oh, Pera-Pera refers to essays told in a rhythmic, snappy way, as if you were speaking.
I've done it.
I've completely done it.
I just went and added the hashtag without knowing its true essence, saying things like, "I tried writing this."
It's not Pera-Pera, it's just... thin.
That's not what it's about, that's not it at all.
I feel so sorry I could burst into flames from my backside.
Because I ate Malatang yesterday.
I want to crawl into a hole.
If I could turn back time, I would.
Still, it was fun, so I guess it's okay.
I'm grateful to everyone who accepted me somehow.
And one more thing, I apologize as a novice.
I added it to my rambling posts for the simple reason that I saw Chorosu-san and others using it and it looked fun.
#WhatAreYouTalkingAbout
I thought of this as a kind of indulgence.
I thought it was a magic word that would make even rambling writing seem like something meaningful if I just attached it. I'm being way too convenient.
As it turns out, there was a meticulously thought-out philosophy behind this one, too.
A grand philosophy of turning the creation of "What are you talking about" into entertainment. It's like "Swimmy," where collecting each "What are you talking about" makes it incredibly interesting. That's nice.
If I were to use a shonen manga analogy, I'm a beginner who joined the "note club" with the lighthearted thought, "Maybe I'll start this because it looks like it'll make me popular."
There are so many interesting people there, and I'm just coasting along, looking at the seniors I admire and thinking, "Yeah, yeah, I can keep this up."
Then, I encounter a huge talent, and I start to understand the real thrill of the sport...
Both the Pera-Pera Essay and the "What are you talking about" make me realize there are these ways to enjoy creation, and it's really fun to write.
It's amazing that you can create such mechanisms, and it's wonderful that everyone thinks, "I want to do that too!"
Since creation is surely free, even if I'm so embarrassed I could burst into flames (for the second time), I'm sure I'll be forgiven. I even imagined a scene where I'm scolded and encouraged, "Don't worry about every little thing, you're being annoying!" and the sports manga of this note village flashed through my mind as if it were about to be canceled.
(Or rather, it wouldn't even get serialized)
There are people who have their own thoughts behind each hashtag.
And there are people you can meet through hashtags.
That is truly precious, and it's a world where I'm glad I started using note.
For now, I intend to keep writing here as a "hashtag novice," a "Niwa-tagger."
With respect to all creators.
