A parakeet that flies onto my freshly styled hair🦖

While letting the bird out for its morning flight,
the owner gets ready for the day

Cleaning the cage,
preparing my morning drink,
vacuuming the room a bit,
brushing my hair,
and taking a shower.
While the owner is in the shower,
Nico🦖 (the dinosaur) is
making a screeching noise for a while,
screaming for me to hurry up
and get out of the shower!
Listening to those chirps,
when I come out of the shower,
he looks at me like, 'Whoa! A scary person came out!'
and runs away.

Even though I just came out,
what's wrong?

When I towel dry my hair
and use the hair dryer,
perhaps he is curious
about the air from the dryer,
he lands on my shoulder, thinking,
'What's that? What's that?'
When I aim the air
at Nico🦖 (the dinosaur) where he landed on my shoulder,
he makes a face like, 'What is this?',
and even though the strong wind is blowing on him,
maybe he enjoys the strange sensation?
When I stop blowing the air,
he bites my ear, asking for more.
When I blow air on him again,
he makes a 'What is this?' face lol.
It's hilarious lol.

Since it's been hot lately,
I've been drying my hair with just the cool setting,
so this has been repeating
every morning for the past month.

When I finish using the hair dryer,
he quickly gets off my shoulder
and heads straight for the washroom.
Is he going to stare at
his friend in the mirror again?
Nico🦖 (the dinosaur) loves the washroom.

My hair is styled,
and I think, 'Alright!'

But then, the devilish
Nico🦖 (the dinosaur)
comes to land on my head.
He came to check the
smoothness of my freshly styled hair.
He slides his body across it.
What are you doing—
He slides his body around,
as if to say, 'Isn't this nice?'

The owner's hair
gets all messed up again.

Nicooooo!
Stop it!
When I scold him,
Nico🦖 (the dinosaur) thinks
that I'm playing with him.
Screech!
When I shake my head,
he seems to enjoy it, flies off my head,
waits for me to stop shaking,
and lands on my head again.

This is no good.
To get Nico🦖 (the dinosaur) to go back to his cage,
I say, 'Go into your house!'
House, house, house—!

I close the curtains,
make it dark, and say, 'Look!'
'A scary person is coming!'
and guide him to the cage.

Nico🦖 (the dinosaur) wonders if something is coming?
Looking scared,
he quickly goes into his cage.

Nico🦖 (the dinosaur) is such a scaredy-cat.

I open the curtains again,
turn on the lights,
and the owner re-styles their hair.

Nico🦖 (the dinosaur) is like, 'What the heck!'
Clack, clack, clack, clack,
he pecks at the corner of the cage
with his beak,
looking displeased.

Nico🦖 (the dinosaur) thinks
the smoothness of my hair and
the air from the hair dryer are fun.
Also, Nico🦖 (the dinosaur) has learned
that when I'm styling my hair,
it means I'm going out.

The owner knows that
the battle with the little devil Nico🦖 (the dinosaur)
will continue during morning flight time.
