The job that started with the lighthearted intention of "wanting to earn money easily" becomes a catalyst for Shoma to re-examine his life.
What was particularly impressive was the process by which Amano's words and actions resonated in Shoma's heart, leading him to think, "I want to act for the sake of someone's smile in the future."
I was deeply moved by the way Shoma questioned his own values and changed his actions.
What I felt through this book is that "working" is not just a means to earn money, but an important activity that builds connections with life and people.
It made me rethink the meaning of gratitude embedded in the phrase "Itadakimasu" and the preciousness of living.
The lessons Shoma learned in the guard room also ask me, "What can I do for the future?"
In the Audible version, the immersive narration by the narrators further enhances the story, making me feel as if I were there myself.
It is such a wonderful work that it is a pity it has not been published in paper format, and it is a book I want many people to listen to.
After reading this book, I have come to feel genuine gratitude the moment I say "Itadakimasu."
Just like Shoma, I strongly felt that I want to become a person who can take actions that lead to someone else's smile.
