映画『君の名は。』(公開中)が、1月4日より韓国でも公開され、初日で興行収入約1億円を達成し、13万人を超える動員数を記録した。

本作は、新海誠監督の6作目。2016年より公開され日本でも大ヒットし、海外では第49回シッチェス・カタロニア国際映画祭(スペイン)でAnima't部門(アニメーション作品部門)の最優秀長編作品賞と第18回プチョン(富川)国際アニメーション映画祭(韓国)の長編コンペティション部門での優秀賞と観客賞をW受賞する快挙を達成してきた。なおアジア圏で映画ランキング1位の5冠(日本、台湾、香港、タイ、中国)を達成し、中国とタイでは公開された日本映画で歴代興収の新記録を樹立した。

The movie “Your Name.” ” (currently in theaters) was released in South Korea on January 4th, and achieved box office revenue of approximately 100 million yen on the first day, with a record attendance of over 130,000 people.

This is director Makoto Shinkai's sixth film. It was released in 2016 and became a big hit in Japan, and overseas it won the Best Feature Film Award in the Anima't category (animated film category) at the 49th Sitges Catalonia International Film Festival (Spain) and the 18th Bucheon International Film Festival. It has achieved the remarkable feat of winning both the Excellence Award and the Audience Award in the feature competition section of the Animation Film Festival (Korea). In addition, it achieved five top movie rankings in Asia (Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Thailand, and China), and set new box office records in China and Thailand for a Japanese film released in history.
