Highlights of "Okkuu" Explained!

Hello everyone. I'm Sati Fujita from the C7 Publicity Team.

Now, have you all had a chance to watch C7's first video production, "Okkuu," which has been on sale since August 29th?

Thanks to you, many people have watched it, and we've started receiving happy feedback and comments. Thank you so much!

Here, I'd like to share a few more highlights of the work.

Highlight 1: Peeking through a fixed camera!

The biggest feature of "Okkuu" is that it's a long-take, one-cut production filmed with a fixed camera! It's like you're secretly peeking into someone else's home. Just like a regular stage play, it's non-stop from start to finish. There are quick changes, little mishaps, and we filmed it with a unique sense of tension.

Like this, characters come and go, using the living room of a house as the stage. Are you starting to think it might be interesting??

Highlight 2: Round and round and round and round

We live in an era of social distancing. We turned the constraint of having to keep actors as far apart as possible to our advantage by utilizing the layout of a traditional Japanese house. The story progresses as the characters move round and round through the living room, kitchen, entryway, and garden. Sometimes...

Highlight 3: Props perfect for the end of summer

Okkuu is a story set during the Obon season. The filming took place right in the middle of summer during Obon. Various summery props appear throughout the work. Even though the late summer heat is still intense, as the season slowly starts to head toward autumn, I hope you can enjoy the lingering atmosphere of a Japanese summer.
