[Celebration] Q eND A is getting a book release!!!!!!!! [Celebration]

Inside the ticket gate at Fukuoka Station, just as I was about to start my mobile payment app to buy a beer for the Shinkansen ride home, my phone rang. It was an unknown number. I left the beer with the clerk and hurriedly answered the call.

“Is this Lion Mask? ‘Q eND A’ has been selected as the Grand Prize winner of the ‘Kadokawa Horror Bunko Death Game Novel Contest’! Congratulations!”

And so, ‘Q eND A’ has won the Grand Prize and a book release has been decided!!!!!!!!!!

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS Shibako! Haraura! Ohtani-senshu! Is everyone watching!?!?!? I did it!!!!!!!!!!!

From here on, I will be working on revisions for the book release from Kadokawa Horror Bunko. I'll do my best.
I'm on the same label as Yasutaka Kobayashi-sensei!? Isn't that crazy?

I've omitted some parts of the scene I wrote above, but it's mostly as it happened. I was inside Fukuoka Station, with souvenirs in both hands, bowing repeatedly into the phone like Kosaku Kawajiri.

Right when I was buying this Premium Malts.

The content was also very well received within the editorial department, and it was apparently a unanimous Grand Prize decision because it was interesting as a game and well-structured. I am truly honored.

A year since the last Gekifunsha, I've applied to various original novel contests, and in the meantime, Shohei Ohtani went viral, and all sorts of things happened....

The reason I started writing this novel was the DHT Gekifunsha Novel Contest (which is still running!), and the fact that I was able to serialize this work and complete it is thanks to the followers and Pulp Slingers who read it and give me stimulation every day. Thank you so much.

The best teaching material.

Thinking about it, getting involved in the Gekifunsha Novel Contest, starting to write pulp-like things... opening another big door with this work, Q eND A, I think my R.E.A.L caused a critical hit somewhere. The mindset of Gekifunsha-sensei is at the root of it all.

My life hasn't been particularly dramatic or interesting, I haven't had any special experiences or youth, I don't have a girlfriend, and I don't really understand human relationships. I've just been playing board games, card games, and online games all the time, and maybe I've spent more time doing things that didn't have much meaning, but even so, the things that accumulated within that, and the experiences of playing with my few friends, bore fruit as R.E.A.L and caused some kind of chemical reaction.So everyone, let's write!!! No matter what kind of foolish life you've led, there are things that can only be output from your own foolish life!! You can't become Shohei Ohtani, but if you stand at the plate, you might hit something and score a home run for someone somewhere!

Also, it was really painful to have to stay silent during the two Pulp drinking parties... I wanted to brag so much....

I went to Kadokawa!

So, since this is where the business talk starts, I had a meeting at the Kadokawa building, so I went. (It was my birthday, coincidentally)

It's amazing, I feel like a working adult somehow.

It really feels like a publishing company!!

The meeting, which started under the title 'Death Game Grand Prize Winner Meeting' (it felt like a death game survivor meeting), included comments like 'Recently, things like Squid Game have become popular, and we wanted an original death game work, so we held the contest. Q eND A, which emphasizes game mechanics, fit perfectly,' and“It's a well-thought-out game, you have a talent for death games”I was very humbled by such praise.
I don't think there is anyone else who has been praised for having a talent for death games, before or since.

(Also, it seems the Shohei Ohtani matter was checked, and I thought I might get scolded, but they took it in good humor. Thank goodness I didn't get scolded.)

100,000 yen, they say...

When it comes to a book release, I'm looking forward to the royalties (purely counting my chickens before they hatch), but before that, there is the 100,000 yen grand prize money. What should I do... Maybe I'll buy some writing tools... I admire MacBooks, but I basically write on a PC... Or maybe I'll buy a dual land or a foil Crypt...

While I'm counting my chickens, I think Q&A is a work very well-suited for media mix, so maybe it'll get an anime or movie adaptation from here... and if that happens, I'll have Ado, YOASOBI, or Queen Bee do the theme song... Oh, and I'd love for the people at DHT to write the blurb for the book release, but I'd also like Izawa-san from QuizKnock to write it too...

Well, before all that, I have to reread the entire Q&A and polish the text perfectly!!!
