Whoa... Am I on TV too much...? 11 TV appearances for Nemu in 2022!

Whoa... Am I on TV too much...? I'm just an individual V, but I was lucky enough to appear on TV a huge number of times in 2022! When I counted just how many times I appeared, the result was incredible!?

The dawn of a "new era" where virtual beings are accepted as a "natural" presence in the physical reality world is finally coming into view!

1. 1/15 Yomiuri TV "Wake Up"

I introduced various data from the "Social VR Census 2021" and discussed "romance in the metaverse." I'm technically in the photo, so I'll count it as one lol

2. 1/30 TBS "Sunday Japon"

Sunday Japon featured "Babiniku" (virtual girl flesh), and they showed an interview with me and introduced "Babiniku Kohaku 2021." Seeing Bakusho Mondai and Dave Spector talking about "Babiniku" felt so surreal... It was truly moving.

3. 3/19 NHK "Reiwa Net-ron"

I was actually invited to the studio for the first broadcast of NHK's new program "Reiwa Net-ron," which analyzes the latest digital trends, for their "NFT & Metaverse" special. I did my best to talk about the various possibilities of the metaverse and common misconceptions about NFTs from the perspective of a resident. It was fun to talk with various famous guests!

4. 4/11 NHK "Asagaya Apartment"

I guided entertainer Kazuki Iio from the comedy duo Zun into the deepest parts of the metaverse and introduced various cultures like "Osato" (sugar/virtual partner) and "Babiniku." Because Iio-san's understanding was so sharp, it was a wonderful program that didn't just scratch the surface of the culture, but delved into "new ways of being" and "relationships that transcend age, gender, and appearance."

5 & 6. 7/22, 7/29 Sun TV "Kenkoba no Bakobako Night"

I talked on terrestrial television about "virtual sex" between avatars in the metaverse. The "metaverse" as I see it is a "virtual space where you can live a life." If that's the case, I think it's something that should naturally be accepted (within the scope of terms of service and zoning, of course). I talked about the various benefits and possibilities unique to the virtual world.

7. 9/29 NHK "Tokoro-san! Jiken desu yo"

I actually dragged Tokoro-san into the metaverse for a high-five! Tokoro-san's fresh reactions were fun. Although it's a variety show, it was a meaningful program that introduced the appeal of the metaverse—where you can become someone you could never be in reality—as well as examples of people who were "saved" by the metaverse and the risks involved.

8. 11/1 NHK "100 Camera"

In the 100 Camera metaverse special, I actually appeared for just a split second. It's debatable whether this counts as an "appearance," but since I was on screen, I'll count it lol

9. 11/20 TV Tokyo "Atsushi Tamura's TaMaRiBa"

I was invited to a program discussing the business applications of the metaverse, themed around "Metaverse Migration." I showed my metaverse life to TV personality Atsushi Tamura and the "Ikebukuro Mirror World" team, and we had various discussions about what kind of applications could be considered.

10. 11/25 ABEMA "ABEMA Prime (AbemaPrime)"

I made an emergency live appearance regarding the metaverse biased reporting incident. The MC was Hiroyuki! With almost no preparation time and being a "live broadcast" where you never know what questions might pop up, talking about such a delicate topic with this lineup of people was nerve-wracking—I thought my heart would stop... In the end, I was able to convey that the biased reporting was a misunderstanding, and I was happy that all the guests became very interested in the world of the metaverse. ABEMA is internet TV, but it is funded by TV Asahi, so I'll count this one too.

11. 12/8 TV Tokyo "Morning Satellite"

The shock of "Virtual Bishoujo Nem-shi" suddenly appearing on morning economic news. My various activities were introduced as a case study of the "creator economy" within the metaverse.

Summary: A total of 11 appearances!

When I counted again, it turns out there were 11 TV appearances in 2022!It feels like I was on TV almost every month!?

I have continued my activities believing that virtual culture and economy would eventually attract attention, but I am surprised myself that it happened so quickly. I don't think it's due to my own ability at all, and I think it's the result of various coincidences, but I am truly happy to have been given such an opportunity.

Looking back, when I first appeared on NHK's "Nehorin Pahorin" in 2020, it was unthinkable for an individual VTuber to be on TV, so it became a huge topic.

However, in 2022,not only me, but many metaverse residents appeared on TV, and we have entered an amazing era where virtual beings are accepted as "natural" existences in the physical reality world!

I want to keep updating the world without letting this end as a passing fad! I hope to continue conveying the fun of the virtual world with all my might in 2023 as well.
