Drawing a Lazy Cat

I painted this piece with the mindset that I would be happy to let it go to someone else.

This is because I was inspired by a story I saw on a YouTube Short a while ago about someone who said, 'I sell my art because I want to keep drawing.'
(I'd like to post the link if that same Short comes around again...)

I always try to pay attention to details even when practicing, but I was even more careful than usual with this one.

Photographed under daylight-colored lighting. The yellow background really pops.

Photographed with natural morning light coming into the room.

A cat lazily yawning and a one-sho bottle of sake.
The size is half of an F4 canvas, oriented vertically.
When I was sketching the stretching cat in my notebook, I thought, 'This would look great on a long, vertical piece of paper.' I made small adjustments to the placement and size of the cat as it stretches diagonally. In my notes, the paws looked much larger, but when I drew the final version, it looked like an alien, so I changed that.

I also painted a sake bottle to help convey the kind of place I'd like it to be displayed.
I imagine a small, relaxed, unpretentious izakaya. A place where warm-colored pendant lights illuminate each table, creating a cozy atmosphere. I want it to be in a space where people can gaze at it blankly without thinking about anything—whether they're tired or feeling a bit tipsy. That is my wish.

I'd love to get it framed.

Goodnight.
