I really like how the "everyday" and the "extraordinary" shown by the "mysterious box" are depicted in parallel. As if they exist on the same level. I also love that the setting is a very typical Japanese home.
When you think about it again, this is exactly what Christmas is like for us Japanese people, isn't it?
