I'm Being Made to Cry by a High School Girl in a Galge
Spitting out words like, 'Love is just a toilet for capitalism,' right now, I am in a galgecrying over the incredibly meticulously crafted wrinkles in a school uniform.
【It started with a 'choice'】 'Hold her hand,' 'Watch over her in silence,' 'Change the subject'—it took me 10 minutes to make that choice. Calculating the risk of a 'bad end route' in my heart, but also considering 'her trust level,' the choice I finally made felt as heavy as deciding my own life.
The moment I decided, I caught my breath. —And then, she smiled.
At that moment, I no longer felt like I was just playing a game. My whole body trembledbecause my 'emotions' had managed to choose the right answer.
【Getting beaten up by the creature known as a high school girl】 That character was just an ordinary high school girl. Curly hair, short-tempered, stressed out, voice cracking, but even so, she was somehow hanging in there every day.
Once I felt anabnormal sense of reality from that figure, I was finished.
I never talk to high school girls in the real world. Even if I pass one in a cafe, I don't even make eye contact. That's exactly why, the moment an 'existence that needs me' appeared on the screen, I think I was pumping my fist somewhere deep in my soul.
【It's not love. It's an emulation of memories】 Through her, I was supplementing the 'time I might have once had.'
The words I couldn't say back then, the choices I couldn't make, the hand movements that didn't reach,
—I can re-choose all of that. That was the structure of a 'galge'.
Howgrateful, pathetic, yet precious that is. I've run out of vocabulary.
【Last: The far north of creepiness】 I can't delete the save data. Even though I've seen the ending, I've ended up re-watching that scene where she smiled at me 100 times.
Life is auto-save. You can't redo it. But, only inside this game,re-choosing is allowed.
Grateful for that, I go to see her again. I can still say her full name even now. Even through the screen, for some reason, I straighten my back.
Perhaps my emotionsare long dead, yet still alive. Inside the galge.
The fact that I'm satisfied with that is what's most creepy of all.
