All the Hump Back illustrations I drew this year
I started drawing Hump Back illustrations around the year before last. Since the band members themselves seem to see them, I drew various things this year with a mix of excitement and nerves. I mainly upload them to Twitter, but they are scattered and hard to find, so I've compiled a year's worth here.
The first thing I drew early in the year was the Triceratops from the classic Hump Back merchandise series, the 'Dinosaur Long-Sleeve T-shirt.' I never imagined I would be asked to design official merchandise...

Details are on Twitter.
pic.twitter.com/XH8PB2iBb7

My first live show of the year was at Anima in Amerikamura. It was a two-man show with Helsinki Lambda Club (who are stylish and cool). I hadn't been to see them live since August of the previous year. I couldn't get tickets for their Osaka-Jo Hall solo show in November, so I was moved to see Hump Back live again after such a long time. I think this was the first day Hayashi-san's Gibson appeared.

The second live show of the year was at Festival Hall. I had been there a few times before it was rebuilt, but this was my first time since it was renovated. It was a two-man show with Sambomaster, and the Sambomaster fan next to me was crying. Pika-chan, you were wearing the dinosaur long-sleeve T-shirt, weren't you?

From here on, I wouldn't be able to go to live shows for a while, but during that time, the DVD of last year's Osaka-Jo Hall solo show was released. I drew these three pieces while feeling moved that I could see it in such a form. I don't think these scenes actually happened, though...

That said, I couldn't go to live shows often, so I drew this with the thought, 'I have enough vitamins, minerals, and calcium, but I don't have enough Hump Back.' I got a bit carried away and made Hayashi-san's legs too long.

The new song 'Bankuwase' had its music video released in July.
I loved this music video so much that I watched it over 50 times and drew this.

Not long after, I was able to hear 'Bankuwase' live at Zepp Namba. It was a two-man show with SCANDAL, and according to Hayashi-san, 'SCANDAL is like Pretty Cure, and Hump Back is like Anpanman,' so I drew this based on that.

In August, the new album "ACHATTER" was released. I drew this with the theme of children who want to become interesting adults.

Pika-chan came to visit my solo exhibition held in September, and while I was bewildered by the gap between her and her stage image,

I also drew a portrait of her. To be able to stare at someone's face so boldly right in front of me—I'm really glad I became an artist.

And so the ACHATTER tour began. I managed to get tickets for Osaka-Jo Hall and Budokan, but I also wanted to see them at a live house, and somehow I got tickets for Taiyo to Tora right before the show.

When I drew this and uploaded it the next day, there was news that the Hollywood Dream ride had stopped due to a power outage. The way they perfectly provided a punchline is just like an Osaka band.
The Osaka-Jo Hall performance that I couldn't see last year. I was so excited that I drew this beforehand.

The charm of Hump Back is that they are the same as always, even in a huge hall.

And the final live show of the year was at the Nippon Budokan. This is the color version with the hairstyles from the previous illustration adjusted. I mean, you guys change your hairstyles and colors way too often.

The three of them were so cute, looking super nervous for their first Budokan show. I'm really glad that my first Budokan experience was with Hump Back.

Hump Back, where will you take us next?
That's all the Hump Back illustrations I drew this year. I'll draw more next year too!
