[Marital Relationship] I always win arguments. That, I don't quite like.
I usually win the arguments I have with my husband.
My logic is sound, and my memory is accurate.
If my husband says, "You said that back then,"
I can reply, "No, I said this."
Usually, I am the one who is right.
So, I win.
However, after I win,
for some reason, I feel a bit uneasy.
My husband drops out halfway through.
He says, "Well, maybe so,"
and quietly ends it.
He doesn't look convinced.
But he doesn't look angry either.
He looks perfectly calm.
I won the argument.
But my husband isn't hurt.
He isn't drained, either.
I should have won.
But I'm the one who used up all the energy.
Organizing the points, pointing out the contradictions,
explaining everything properly—and then,
my husband just says, "Maybe so," and it's over.
The next morning, my husband wakes up in a good mood
as if nothing ever happened.
My husband seems to come out ahead,
and even though I won, I feel like I lost out.
That, I don't like.
Though, it's not that I hate it, either.
"To lose is to win"
is a common saying.
I think this isn't about humility,
but about knowing when to end the game.
For some reason, my husband is good at that.
I won, but I feel like I lost out.
It's kind of unfair.
—But, oh well.
By the way, this is what my husband thinks.
