Easy main dish in 10 minutes. "Pork Miso-yaki" is the perfect pinch hitter for busy days!
It is said that more and more people are not drinking miso soup lately.
You might also have the problem of "buying a pack of miso and not being able to finish it..."
So, for those of you with "leftover miso," this is a must-see! I would like to introduce "Pork Miso-yaki," a classic dish that rivals ginger pork.
| Let's season it directly in the tray

There are quite a few days when you don't have the energy to carefully "mix seasonings in a bowl and then coat the meat..."That's why I put the seasonings directly into the tray with the pork to flavor it. Then, just fry it in a pan!
I thought it might be a bit of a rough method, but it's fast, convenient, and gives me some peace of mind. This is definitely my go-to pinch-hitter dish for days when I have no time...!!
Now, let's get right to the recipe!
◆ Ingredients (for 2 people)
Pork offcuts 250g
Bean sprouts 50g
Oil 1/2 tbsp
Miso, mirin, sake 1 1/2 tbsp each
Sugar 1 tsp (omit if using sweet miso)
* "Shinshu miso" is used in the recipe.
◆ How to make

Push the pork offcuts (250g) to one side to create a "gap" in the tray for the seasonings.

Add 1 1/2 tbsp each of miso, mirin, and sake, and 1 tsp of sugar, then mix only the seasonings well.

Coat the pork offcuts well with the seasonings and let sit for 10 minutes.

Heat 1/2 tbsp of oil in a frying pan over medium heat and stir-fry the pork offcuts.

Once most of the pink color is gone, add 50g of bean sprouts. From here on, stir-fry over high heat.

Stir-fry until the bean sprouts are wilted and the juices have thickened slightly. Be careful, as the flavor will be bland if the juices are too watery.
If you are using sweet miso, you can add a pinch of salt (not listed) at the end to tighten the flavor.

It looks plain, but it is a dish that truly "makes the rice go down."

Actually, I am completely hooked on "miso sauce." I am experimenting by making double the recipe and putting it on various things to eat, and it is delicious with everything.
I will introduce delicious food pairings in detail in the next article. First of all, I would be happy if you could try making the pork miso-yaki.
