Conversation: Paul Simonon x Tatsuya Moriyama, THE MODS' 45th Anniversary
In the music magazine Bollocks, there was a conversation between Tatsuya Moriyama of THE MODS and Paul Simonon of ex. THE CLASH.

Since they met in 1981 when The Mods went to London to record their debut album FIGHT OR FLIGHT, they have been bound by a passionate friendship. You can feel their spirit and life philosophy in every word they say. I cannot touch upon the specific details, but I really want rock lovers and music fans to read it. It can even serve as a guide for how to live. Furthermore, there is a solo interview with Moriyama-san, which makes my anticipation for the new album REVOLVER 45 even higher. The first track is titled "CRAZY HOT SUMMER '79". I also encountered The Mods in 1979, and at the end of that year, The Clash's 'London Calling' was released. I was convinced that this would be an album I would cherish and listen to for the rest of my life.
This year marks their 45th anniversary, and a special event will be held in their hometown of Fukuoka on June 21st, the anniversary of their debut.
THE MODS ILLEGAL EVENT 2026 “ONE TIME ROLL”
A best-of album that transcends labels is also on sale. I heard that orders are flooding in and they are currently doing additional production.

The Mods have held concerts at the Hibiya Open-Air Concert Hall during their anniversary years. I participated every year too. Since Hibiya Park is undergoing redevelopment, it's a shame I can't see them at that 'promised land,' but this year I'm going to enjoy the album and the live show to the fullest!

Immediately after the live performance ended
