[2023] My Top 10 UNIQLO Purchases

Out of the UNIQLO items I purchased in 2023, I have compiled a ranking of the 10 items that were particularly good.

Conclusion: As for the merits of UNIQLO (LifeWear), I reaffirmed that ❶ they are comfortable to wear, ❷ they are functional, and ❸ they incorporate trends subtly. Compiling this every year is interesting because I can confirm my own preferences and changes in trends for that year.😀

▶︎ 2023 UNIQLO My Top 10

Every year, I buy several UNIQLO products. Among them, I will introduce the 10 items that were particularly good in under 150 characters (excluding repeat purchases of items I have bought before).

1st Place:感動 (Kando) Blazer

JW Anderson collaboration Kando material blazer. This was my first time buying a blazer (I later bought a fall/winter material blazer as well). Even if you wear jeans on the bottom, a blazer can instantly make you look polished. Because it uses Kando material, it is wrinkle-resistant, machine-washable, stretchy, and breathable, which are all great functional features.

2nd Place: PEACE FOR ALL Graphic T-Shirt

A T-shirt series where 100% of the profits (approx. 20% of the product price) are donated to a total of three organizations, including UNHCR. In 2023, I bought three (Julian Opie, Emmanuelle Moureaux, and Magnum Photos President). I buy them with the premise that the design is good, but it makes me happy to think that the money from buying the T-shirt helps the world.

3rd Place: Wide Fit Parachute Cargo Pants

Trend cargo pants are still going strong. These cargo pants have a high rise and can be worn like sarouel pants, so the design was to my liking. Also, the lightweight material that is easy to wear is also good.

4th Place: 3D Crew Neck Sweater

It looks like an ordinary sweater, but it is great that it is knitted in "3D." Because there are no seams, there is no feeling of tightness when putting it on, making it comfortable. The goodness of "3D" cannot be understood unless you wear it, so I definitely recommend trying it on.

5th Place: Premium Lambswool Crew Neck Sweater (LifeWear magazine)

LifeWear magazine A sweater released in limited quantities at the same time as the. I had never bought a Uniqlo lambswool sweater before. Since the sizing is a bit small, I bought a larger size L that I don't usually buy. I like basic sweaters when worn oversized because they look trendy. The color and quality are also excellent.

6th Place: Knit Fleece Set

I bought new pajamas for winter. I purchased the thick and warm-looking "Knit Fleece" online. When I tried them on, they were incredibly warm and comfortable! When I first bought them, I liked them so much that I looked forward to changing into my pajamas after getting home.

7th Place: HEATTECH Warm Easy Jogger Pants

a YouTuber's (Genji) video Pants I bought after watching. These are versatile pants that can be worn both at home and out. The good points are that they are my favorite jogger type, they are warm due to the HEATTECH material, and they don't look cheap because of the cotton-like texture. These were a 2022 winter product. In winter 2023, the jogger type was no longer released. Are joggers unpopular?

8th Place: Cargo Jogger Pants

I often wear high-top sneakers. As someone who likes jogger pants, I try on almost every jogger-type product Uniqlo releases. These jogger pants are an evolved version of the previously released "EZY Jogger Cargo Pants." In addition to having a beautiful silhouette, it's great that they have just the right amount of thickness and can be worn roughly.

9th Place: Brushed Jersey Mock Neck T-Shirt

This is an item whose quality you won't understand unless you actually try it on. The thickness of the material is just right, being more than a T-shirt but less than a sweatshirt. It can be worn under a jacket, as a light outer layer if you wear a shirt underneath, or on its own, so its versatility is also a charm.

10th Place: Coach Jacket (LifeWear magazine)

LifeWear magazine A coach jacket released in limited quantities at the same time as the. It has few design elements and is basic, making it easy to wear. However, since spring and autumn have almost disappeared recently, the drawback is that there are few opportunities to wear thin light outerwear.

How was it? It's interesting to compile my "UNIQLO My Best" every year because I can see the trends and changes in my own preferences for that year. The appeal of Uniqlo is, after all, its comfort, functionality, and the fact that it subtly captures trends. I'm looking forward to seeing what Uniqlo products I'll buy in 2024!
