10/25/2025 (Sat) Practice in a small room in Ikuta (Upright room edition)

It was a packed day.

I had booked a piano practice room I'd been curious about for a while, Small Room, so I headed there in the morning.

If you use the Odakyu Line towards Shinjuku, you might know it—it's that spot along the tracks you can see near the Ramen Jiro Ikuta branch after passing Ikuta Station.
It had always been in my line of sight, so I kept wondering about it.

Before heading over, I grabbed a bite at the Doutor in front of Ikuta Station.
The hot morning menu has been revamped!!!
It's like a light pizza toast, and it's delicious.
I loved the old morning hot sandwich,
the one that would always burn the inside of my mouth when I ate it
because the cheese was so stretchy,
so I was sad when it was gone,
but the new morning menu feels a bit similar, so I'm happy.

After filling my stomach, I went to the small room.
I finished the reception and got the key. Today was an upright piano room.
The upright room was on the second floor,
so when I went up the outside stairs of the apartment building...

There was a soundproof room inside one of the apartment units.

The key I received was for the apartment unit itself.

In other words, I was renting the entire unit to myself.

There's a window outside the soundproof room, so the unit itself is well-ventilated.

The restroom is also private.

A hideaway space all to myself...

How stress-free...

No need to worry about the issue of waiting for the restroom at all.

It's just too wonderful.

I don't have to be distracted by people chatting nearby, sound leakage, or footsteps.

Oh my goodness.

And for this price, it's this cheap.

On top of that,
• You can use it from 9 AM if you book by the previous day
• No penalty if you cancel by the reservation time (!!!)
and other thoughtful designs.

Are you sure this is okay?

Thinking I want to make this my base,
I spent two hours playing and singing my heart out
without any hesitation at all,
occasionally stepping out to breathe the fresh air and stretch my body.

I spent my time feeling completely relaxed like that.

I will come again (I'm sure of it).
