Works│MIDNIGHT PIZZA CLUB × noon by material record - I was in charge of the roundtable discussion article
I was in charge of the structure and writing of a roundtable discussion article for Nomura Co., Ltd.'s owned media 'Nomulog', featuring four members from the 'noon by material record' project—an initiative by the company's Future Creation Institute—and the 'MIDNIGHT PIZZA CLUB,' along with their producer. Nomura is a leading space production company that creates and utilizes all kinds of 'spaces,' ranging from large-scale commercial facilities, hotels, offices, museums, and showrooms to promotions for exhibitions and events.

Although this article was published in early June, the reporting process began about half a year earlier, in the winter of 2024.
As introduced in the beginning of the article, 'MIDNIGHT PIZZA CLUB (hereinafter MPC)' is the name of a travel circle formed by actor Taiga Nakano, photographer Yusuke Abe, and TV director Ryohei Kamide.
We were able to coordinate the busy schedules of all the members and hold the roundtable discussion around spring.
And, going back even further, the first MPC book, 'MIDNIGHT PIZZA CLUB 1st BLAZE LANGTANG VALLEY' (Kodansha), was published in December 2024.
The reporting for this article started when a producer from 'noon by material record (hereinafter noon)' reached out to me, saying, 'We are holding an event to commemorate the book's publication, and I'd like you to write an article about it eventually. First, I'd like you to come and see the event,' which is how I got involved.
The 'material record' project that the team at noon is working on is truly unique and fascinating, and the story of how it led to the collaboration with MPC is also very interesting. Please enjoy the detailed story in the linked article.
By the way, just recently, they launched their second product, the rocket tank speaker 'DEBRIS', which was created from rocket scrap metal.

Now, the MPC book 'MIDNIGHT PIZZA CLUB 1st BLAZE LANGTANG VALLEY' chronicles the episodes leading up to the formation of MPC and their first trip walking through the Langtang Valley in the Himalayas.
Beyond the text, the numerous snapshots that appear as you flip through the pages make you feel as if you can hear the sounds of the world—the hustle and bustle of airports and New York streets, the wind, rain, and river sounds heard in the mountains of Nepal—along with the laughter of the three members. It is a very unique and content-rich book.
Reading it will definitely make you want to go on a trip into nature, and it might be perfect for the coming season. Please be sure to pick up a copy at a bookstore.
By the way, it seems the book is planned to be a series.
This is the first installment, and it is said that the second will cover a trip to the Appalachian Mountains in the northeastern United States, and the third will cover a trip to New Zealand. I am very much looking forward to it.
