🏠 Who is Mrs. Atonando?
Nice to meet you, I am Mrs. Atonando.
My workspace is in the storage room (nando), so "@Nando" -> Atonando.
My husband runs an interior design business.
This is his 12th year, and he works happily every day as a sole proprietor.
And I am a family employee. As a blue-return family employee, I am mainly in charge of business management.
In the autumn of 2022, my husband told me,
"Since the invoice system is starting, I think I'll become a taxable business operator."

Wait, wait!
Becoming a taxable business operator means,
I have to file a consumption tax return and pay taxes, don't I—!!
With the start of the invoice system,
many business operators who were previously exempt from consumption tax
have stepped forward for business reasons to say, "I will pay consumption tax!"
and I think there are quite a few who have chosen to take on the extra hassle and pay more taxes.
I think.
We are two of those people.
2022 was the timing when our approach to work changed completely.
I,
in place of my husband who has a loose approach to money and doesn't want to think about it,
switched from working part-time to being employed by my husband,
changing my role to handle both my own work and the accounting for our family business.
💰 I'm also developing a strategy so I don't get crushed by the unknown entity that is consumption tax!
I've never done it before, but
since it's better to increase sales, I tried doing what I could.
I consulted with an accountant and made many detailed inquiries to the tax office.
Things I did between the second half of 2022 and the first half of 2023
・Engaged in sales activities to get orders
・Applied for subsidies to coincide with the timing of increased order volume
・Used subsidies to improve work efficiency
I applied for the subsidies based on market development and
improving production efficiency, but
I'm glad I started sales activities early~.
As a result of setting realistic figures for the roadmap to reach our goals,
we were able to achieve results that far exceeded them.
Our 2023 sales were up 25% compared to the previous year!!
With that kind of momentum, the business is on an upward trend,
and while getting used to child-rearing and business expansion,
I am struggling every day, trying this and that.
💬 A question
Is there anyone reading this note who is in the same situation?
Are there any other blue-return family employees out there??
If there is anyone in the same situation, I would love to hear your story.
I want to share the feeling that "it's tough, isn't it."
Of course, just watching with interest is fine too.
I look forward to your support.
