To you who feel 'I don't think I'm pushing myself, yet I'm always tired'
"You're pushing yourself too hard, aren't you?"
"You should take better care of yourself."
Every time I was told that,
I would think, 'I don't really feel like I'm pushing myself,' while
answering, "That's not true."
Since I was little,
I had no awareness of pushing myself,
nor did I intend to sacrifice myself,
or feel like I was accommodating others too much.
I just made the choice
that would cause the least amount of friction in the moment,
chose the path that wouldn't trouble the other person,
and before I knew it, I was tired for some reason.
I had just been repeating that over and over.
Doing so was just natural,
and I simply didn't know any other way.
This note is
not meant to blame anyone,
nor is it meant to tell you
"this is how you can feel better."
I just want this to be a place where
people who are used to prioritizing others
can pause for a moment,
and quietly think,How do I actually feel?
If you are currently
tired for some reason, even if you don't know why,
I hope that at least while you are here,
you can gently wrap yourself in comfort.
I usually work in the field of psychological and interpersonal support,
but here, I will write down my realizations and words as a human being.
