A Day I Wanted to Do a Little Dance: A Not-Quite-Three-Line Diary 2024.03.20
Vernal Equinox Day.
As I feel the changing of the seasons, I think of the stars, remembering that in Western astrology, today is the day the sun enters Aries, treating it almost like New Year's Day.
On this astrological New Year's Day, many happy things happened.
I was featured in this article by Nao Kurosaki.
Whether she knew I was feeling a bit discouraged with my note activities or not, I was surprised. Being included in her magazine flipped my motivation switch. I want to keep trying.
Thank you, Nao-san. 🙏
Another happy thing—though I want to write about the details in a later article—is that I received a cashback from my past self.
It was exactly the amount I was hoping for right now.
I was so surprised.
I had completely and utterly forgotten about that money, so I was incredibly happy.
It is by no means a large sum, but for me, it is an amount that makes me want to do a little dance.
Thank you, past self. I will put it to good use.
And then, a gathering with friends that has lasted for 20 years.
It was simply fun; we laughed out loud, and since we are all married, we each shared our complaints about our husbands and in-laws, effectively venting them away.
I talked about how I love my husband, but the only thing that feels like a burden is having to travel with my in-laws, and everyone unanimously agreed that it is an ordeal.
I suppose there are people for whom that is not a burden.
I think friends who share the same sensibilities are a treasure.
Thank you for reading today as well.
May your tomorrow also be a day that makes you want to do a little dance.
Farewell 🍀
