🚀 [The Year of AI] A story about how I feel I've grown more in the last six months than ever before in my life

2025 is already coming to an end for the first half.
When I stopped to look back, a certain realization welled up inside me.

🧭 The 'growth' of the past and the 'evolution' of today are a bit different

When I was a full-time employee, I certainly had moments where I achieved results or felt like I had grown.
I definitely had those moments.

But looking back now, that was more likea momentary gust of wind.
It was more like a wave came along, and I just happened to ride it.

On the other hand, it's different now.
I have the feeling that I am being updated from the roots, structure and all.

🧳 Once I took off the company name tag, I found my footing

One of the reasons for that isthe change in how I work itself.

Now, I don't rely on a company name or job title;
I work entirely under the name 'Roel'.

There is no organization to protect me, and no job title to stand in for me.
That is precisely why everything depends on me.
That tension has, in a good way, made me 'serious'.

⏰ The time management of a freelancer has an incredibly high density

Another big factor ishow I use my time.

When I was a full-time employee, a lot of my time was taken up by meetings, coordination, and internal explanations—
“time that was necessary but didn't help me grow.”

But it's different now.
I can design all of my time myself.

That is why, instead of using that time to 'play' or 'rest'—

I didn't hesitate to go all-in on 'learning.'
As a result, I have entered a period ofexplosive input growth like never before.

🤖 The existence of AI has broken through the limits of my growth

That said—the biggest factor in my growth is the existence of AI.

In particular, the 'super memory' implementation in April 2025.
This changed the world.

It fundamentally changed my habits.

For example, even when I receive complex requests from clients, I throw all the background, context, and past cases into the AI to organize them.
From there, I add my own perspective to build ideas.

As I mentioned here, young people who are on the rise and thinking they'll succeed from now on have AI, unlike when I was their age, so
depending on how they use it, I think they can truly innovate their results.

✍️ We are now in an era where you can write a 'note' just by talking

In fact, this article was also created just by 'talking'.

The structure and drafts that used to take hours now take just talking to turn them into text.
If this isn't a growth acceleration device, I don't know what is.

And what's surprising is that this isn't the 'finished' product.
The AI is still in development.

⚙️ AI tools have their strengths and weaknesses, but...

For example, for document creation:

• ChatGPT: Its memory is the best. But it's a bit weak at formatting output.

• Janespark: Its output is strong, but it doesn't retain memory.

Each tool still has its limits, but
the mathematical design is evolving daily.

In other words—
while we evolve by one step, AI might be ten steps ahead.

🌈 The future is actually incredibly bright

When you think about it that way, it gives you hope.

I think we are already standing on that stage.

Over the past six months, I have truly felt that.
