Self-understanding alone will not change your life
The reason why you don't change even after setting goals
You have achieved self-understanding.
You have also set goals.
You have even organized your
long-term goals,
mid-term goals, and short-term goals.
And yet,
a month passes,
half a year passes,
and you feel, 'Wait, nothing has changed.'
This is
a pitfall that many people fall into.
Let's start something new.
Let's start a business.
Let's change jobs.
You think that,
and you do self-understanding and goal setting.
But,
you end up satisfied with just that.
You feel like you've stepped outside just by knowing what's beyond your comfort zone.
Knowing something and
actually stepping into it are different things.
Feeling relieved just by peeking outside
Self-understanding and goal setting are
acts of looking outside of your current self.
It is like
peeking a little bit at the outside world from within your comfort zone.
So this kind of world exists.
I should head toward this goal.
This is who I want to become.
The moment you realize that,
you feel relieved.
And,
you start to feel like you can go there anytime.
But in reality,
you haven't stepped outside yet.
You have only learned about the outside.
If you just realize that,
you will return to the world that is comfortable for you.
You carry only the heat of wanting to change,
and immerse yourself back in your original place.
Because you stop here,
your reality remains unchanged.
Anxiety and fear come as a set
When you truly step outside,
anxiety and fear will inevitably arise.
This is unavoidable.
I was the same way.
People who are moving forward
have all gone through that.
If you are moving onto a new path,
anxiety and fear will come as a set.
If you don't have them,
it means you haven't truly challenged yourself yet.
What is important
is not to wait until the anxiety disappears before moving forward.
It is to step outside
while still carrying that anxiety.
And,
do not try to move forward timidly all by yourself.
When you think about it alone,
the hurdles only get higher in your head.
It is important to step outside with resolve,
and interact with the people who are already in that world.
Stay in that world
Listen to the stories of people who are in the world you want to enter.
Get involved.
Get taught.
This is the fastest way.
Those people have
already traveled the path
that you are about to take.
They know the anxiety.
They know the fear.
They also know the feeling of being about to stop there.
That is precisely why
you can get tips on how to clear it.
And what is important is
to keep staying in that world.
By continuing to be involved,
the new world will gradually become the norm.
Moving toward a goal is
a repetition of that.
To me, living easily does not mean
taking it easy within your comfort zone.
It means continuing to head toward your goals
and getting closer to your ideal self.
The way to live easily as your true self
differs from person to person.
However,
to achieve that,
you need to move forward with determination,
even while carrying anxiety and fear.
If you have set a goal
but are not moving right now,
first try to put into words where you are getting stuck.
Are you satisfied just by looking at the outside?
Who should you get involved with to move forward?
Once you organize that,
you will see the next step to take.
If you feel uncomfortable with your current way of life,
why not try putting it into words with me once?
