Why did I stop worrying about my stutter when I was backed into a corner? I asked an AI.
It's true in both work and daily life, but when I find myself in a situation where I absolutely have to do something,
I exert more incredible power than usual.

It does for me.
Back when I was a cram school teacher,
students from a class I wasn't in charge of kept asking to quit the school.
The reason was that the teacher in charge of that class had a very peculiar personality,
and the students had a bad impression of them.
Even though it was in the middle of the school year, I took over the class, and to prevent any more students from quitting,
I started by turning things around.
In my current job,
when I found out that someone I was working on a project with was suddenly quitting next month.
Since that person was the project leader,
I suddenly had to handle their share of the work as well.
The workload simply doubled, including my own work and theirs, and I also ended up managing the project's progress myself.
When I got into these situations, I started taking more initiative.
I even actively reached out to those around me, something I usually avoid because I'm not good at it.
Perhaps, because I'm backed into a corner,
I enter a mode of
"If I don't do it myself, no matter what, I'm in trouble."
However, what was common in those times was
that although it was temporary, I stopped worrying about my stutter

Why is that?
I've thought about it in various ways myself, but I can't seem to come up with a satisfying answer.

But,I think the sense of crisis that I wouldn't get a solution or move forward unless I communicated it no matter what was very strong.
I feel like I didn't have time to worry about stuttering.

It connects to 1, but since it was work, my consciousness was directed more toward conveying my thoughts "to move the work forward" or "to overcome complaints" than "what will they think of me with this way of speaking?".

I looked back at points 1 and 2, and I might have been in 'combat mode' when I was backed into a corner (lol). However, I couldn't honestly agree with possibility 3.
Based on my experience so far, I thought tension and pressure were things that worsened stuttering.
Even if I'm told that 'arousal in combat mode can improve fluency,'
then what makes it different from normal tension?, that question remains.
So, is it something like this?
This is based solely on my personal experience, and I don't think it applies to everyone who stutters.
Even so, I'm glad I asked the AI.
As I reflected on my own experiences and put the answers into words, I felt like the fog that had been hanging over me cleared up a little.
I haven't reached a clear conclusion, but I have the feeling that my thinking has moved forward a step.
I think this way of using it is actually pretty good.
