A topic outside of Shizuoka for a change... an introduction to a sake.

It is read as Beau Michelle. If you are drinking it absentmindedly, you might not even realize this is sake. It is not a dazed Michelle, but a sake named after a beautiful Michelle.

Well, don't just sit there dazed, stop complaining and try drinking it.
When poured into a glass, there is a faint aroma reminiscent of sake that you would only notice if you knew it was sake. It is just a sake aroma mixed with a gentle fruity scent. Yes, it is a modest Michelle.

However, once you take a sip!

A juice like Shine Muscat bursts forth. A refreshing and intense acidity races through your mouth. "What is this!" Is this sake? Michelle, you really were French after all.
Just as I think that, the umami of the rice gradually lingers in my mouth along with a fresh sweetness. Is your mother Japanese, Michelle?

It feels closer to the juiciness of a German wine than a French wine. Michelle, you are quite the multilingual one.

Also, a feature of this sake is its low alcohol content. At 9%, it is astonishing for a sake. It has about the same alcohol content as a strong chuhai. Because of that, you don't get that "phew!" feeling even if you gulp it down; it has a mouthfeel like juice. It is a dangerous sake... A low-alcohol sake. Give it a try sometime!

Also, it might be good as a gift for that person who loves sake. It is the taste of first love that this old man had forgotten.

Recommended as an aperitif. Or, how about pairing it with modern Japanese cuisine?
Tofu steak topped with butter mentaiko sauce. White miso quiche. Multilingual food suits a sake of a new era.
