Puella Magi Madoka Magica' that we have been waiting for with bated breath has just announced another 'change in release date'.

To be honest, my heart feels a little unsettled, as if I've wandered into a witch's labyrinth. But it's strange, because even this waiting time feels like a part of 'that story'.

The moment I muttered that, the image of Homura Akemi crossed my mind. Over and over, she repeats the same time to save the person she holds dear. Compared to the eternity of despair she experienced, waiting a few months is... I tell myself, but I still wanted to see them on the screen in February.

With Gen Urobuchi on the script and Shaft handling the animation, I have the conviction that they would never release 'something half-baked' to the world. I have no choice but to convince myself that this is proof they are refusing to lose to the witch of compromise and are pursuing the highest quality.

The biggest downside to a delay is, after all, that the 'freshness of anticipation' gets worn down. And the bar set by fans who have waited 12 years is now higher than Mount Everest. The anxiety that if an 'ordinary' work comes out after all this time... is something everyone feels.

However, if you look at it the other way, it means they did not rush the release. If they prioritized the purity of the creative work over business convenience, then this is the most luxurious waiting time imaginable.
