[Exhibition Report] Reflecting on the Group Photo Exhibition "UNTITLED." A culmination of expression and what lies ahead.

Hello!
The first post of this month is a reflection and report on the group photo exhibition "UNTITLED," held at the Design Festa Gallery in Harajuku.
It became an exhibition that could truly be called a culmination, where the "form I wanted to create" was condensed into one.
I want to leave this here as a record, including the genuine reactions of everyone who visited the booth.

■ The culture of "America" and bringing out the best in a person's individuality

For this exhibition, I had the pleasure of working with the model, Nodoka-san.
The theme I set was pure "American Casual."
I put my all into creating a presentation that didn't just involve wearing American fashion, but also captured the joy of the space itself—the American goods, the food, and the culture behind it—and, above all, highlighted "Nodoka-san's individuality."
Seeing the visitors look at the space and the works with such genuine joy was the thing that made me happiest of all.

■ The presence of "denim panels" that boosted the energy of the space

For this exhibition, I was just as particular about the creation of the space as I was about the photos.
In particular, the "denim design panels" made from denim scraps.
I didn't just hang these on the wall; I assembled them like pedestals on the ceiling to give the space a three-dimensional feel. I feel like this setup created a tremendous "energy" for the entire booth.
Visitor after visitor would say,
"The level of detail in this is truly amazing...!"
Hearing such praise made me feel that all the effort I put into the details without compromise was truly rewarded.
In fact, the design of these denim panels I used in the background was highly praised, and I was even able to sell them to customers as products. To have my own sensibilities take shape, resonate with someone, and end up in their hands... as a creator, there is no greater honor.

■ "Selling your own sensibilities" vs. "Selling to match the market"

Through this exhibition, I have gained important perspectives for my future creative work and business.
From now on, rather than simply leaning toward one or the other, I want to:
・"Express and sell my own design sensibilities as they are"
・"Sell by matching the needs of the target market"
I intend to skillfully use these two approaches depending on the situation and the strategy.
While believing that there is definitely a place where my sensibilities will resonate, I also want to flexibly develop things that match the market. I want to dig deeper while valuing both of these wheels.

■ With overflowing gratitude

Lastly, I am filled with gratitude for the person who organized this wonderful exhibition and for all the staff who supported me from the preparation to the day of the event.
To the model, Nodoka-san, who provided the best expression.
To the American goods shop "OPEN SESAME," who provided tremendous cooperation in photography and space creation.
This work would not have been completed without every single one of you. Thank you so much for your warm support.
Without forgetting this experience and gratitude, I will continue to polish my sensibilities as a creator and pursue the expression I believe in!
I look forward to your continued support.

Thank you for coming, Saki-san!
