To Those Facing Hardships | Don't Give Up
First of all, thank you for listening to "Don't Give Up"🌙
This time, I produced a track based on reggae × reggaeton. Since it's a different style from my previous songs, I'd be happy if you could listen while getting into the rhythm😌
🎧Here are the lyrics🎧
Don't rot away
in a place like this
Don't let yourself grow bitter
If you run away,
it's just going to be
the same thing all over again
To break through,
you have no choice but to push forward
through the thorny path
Don't underestimate
your own limits
Just try as hard as you can
Everything you've built up
isn't being recognized
It's frustrating,
it's painful,
the nights you shed tears
Labeled as
a failure
There must have been days you clenched your fists
But you're still gritting your teeth
and standing there
That back of yours
is becoming a signpost for someone else
Don't rot away
in a place like this
Don't let yourself grow bitter
If you run away,
it's just going to be
the same thing all over again
To break through,
you have no choice but to push forward
through the thorny path
Don't underestimate
your own limits
Just try as hard as you can
People say
all sorts of selfish things
Empty platitudes
that don't help at all
Don't believe any of those voices
Listen only
to the cry of your heart
You shouldn't compare yourself
to someone else's life
Your life
is yours alone to live
Don't rot away
in a place like this
Don't let yourself grow bitter
If you run away,
it's just going to be
the same thing all over again
To break through,
you have no choice but to push forward
through the thorny path
Don't underestimate
your own limits
Just try as hard as you can
When you think,
"Maybe I should just quit"
that's when you should remember
You can become stronger
by the amount you've suffered
I created this song as my own personal anthem, hoping to pack even a little bit of “the strength to look forward” into the heavy, rhythmic bass. The lyrics of this song
are filled with exactly what my past self was feeling. When I had to face things I wasn't good at. When I was entrusted with a job with heavy responsibilities. When I was so busy raising children that I kept losing my composure. "Why is it always me?" "I want to run away already." "Maybe I'm not cut out for this." I thought things like that many times. I've always been the type to choose to
“run away”
when I got hurt by unpleasant things or relationships. I thought if I changed my environment, things would work out. That if I left, it would be easier. I kept repeating the cycle of leaving difficult places. Of course, I don't think running away is bad. When you're truly at your limit, I think it's important to leave to protect yourself. But one day, it suddenly occurred to me: "If I don't change myself,
won't I just repeat the same thing even if I change my location?
" Even if I went to a new environment, I would worry about relationships again, get hurt again, and want to run away again. As long as I kept repeating that, I felt like nothing at the core of myself would ever change. From then on, I decided to face the "things I'm bad at" and the "troublesome things" within myself. Of course, while I was actually facing them, it was truly painful. It hurts, it's frustrating, and because you keep using negative emotions, it's incredibly exhausting. There were days when my heart felt like it was going to rot. But instead of just enduring it, as I thought about "how can I overcome this?" and took small actions, the scenery I saw within myself began to change. I had more of a “sense of moving forward” than when I was just running away. That's why I included the words "Don't rot away in a place like this" and "Don't let yourself grow bitter" in this song. When things are painful, even your heart feels like it's going to rot. You stop being able to trust people, or you start hating yourself. But I think the figure of someone who is holding on in that situation is truly strong. To those who are currently fighting something. To those whose hearts are about to break. To those who are suffering because their hard work isn't being rewarded. I would be happy if this song could push the backs of such people, even just a little. Thank you so much for reading this far🌿 I'm planning to create a few more songs in a reggae & reggaeton style. I hope to continue making music that is true to myself, so I'd be happy if you could look forward to it⸜🌷︎⸝ If you'd like, please subscribe to my YouTube channel🖤
