The day the frustration of losing sight of fish due to glare disappeared. I bought new polarized sunglasses.
On a midsummer breakwater, the sun reflects so intensely that I can barely see the water's surface...
I couldn't even see the bait balls, let alone the rocks right at my feet.
I decided I'd reached my limit, so I bought new polarized sunglasses!!
The ones I used before were cheap ones from a mass retailer, but this time I chose proper polarized lenses for fishing. I'm sure I'm not the only one who spent an hour agonizing over the frame color.
The moment I put them on, the world changed. The glare on the water's surface vanished, and I feel like I can even see things like the tide lines underneath and signs of baitfish (though that might just be my imagination).
I felt a bit dizzy thinking about how much I spent, but I'm realizing that being able to see is everything. Next time, I want to actually spot the fish with my own eyes before I catch them.
What kind of polarized sunglasses do you all use?
