【Deep-Fried Tofu with Bonito Flakes and Teriyaki Sauce】... A slightly rich flavor that makes you want more rice

<Ingredients> (Serves 2)
A) Deep-fried tofu (Atsuage) 1 block (200g)
Potato starch 2 tbsp
B) Soy sauce 2 tbsp
Mirin 2 tbsp
Sugar 2 tsp
Ginger 1 knob
Bonito flakes 1 pack (4g)
Rice oil as needed

Cut the deep-fried tofu from A into bite-sized pieces and coat with potato starch.
Mix the ingredients for B together.
Heat a frying pan, add rice oil, and fry the deep-fried tofu until golden brown.
Add B, coat everything evenly, and mix in the bonito flakes.
Serve on a plate, top with grated ginger, and sprinkle with green onions.

・The seasoning is a bit on the rich side. If you are concerned about salt intake, please use half the amount of B.
・It can be stored in the refrigerator for 2 to 3 days.
・You can use either silken or firm deep-fried tofu.
・Any cooking oil you have at home will work fine.

The change of seasons
is always a busy time.
While thinking about
all the things I have to do...
sometimes what to eatgets pushed to the back of the line.
This is a dish I recommend for times like that.
You can make it with just deep-fried tofu.
Since the seasoning is a bit rich,
you can eat plenty of rice with just this.
For now, that's good enough!!
I think that's perfectly fine.
If you happen to have
a little more energy left, it would be nice to have a simple soup.
Since it's deep-fried tofu,
it's gentle on a tired body.
For those who say,
"No, no, I'm doing just fine!!"
you can use this as a side dish
and pair it with a hearty main dish.
The flavor stays consistent even when made in advance,
so it's also great for bento boxes.
In any case, this is a super useful recipe
that works perfectly in all sorts of situations.
