【Cooking while singing makes it taste better, I feel♪】Behind the scenes of cooking
For about a year and a half now,
when I finish cooking on YouTube,
I've been singing parody songs.
Why parody songs?
I'm not even sure myself,
but I think cooking is better when it's fun...
After all, isn't fun
the best seasoning?
At first, I tried singing just as a bit of fun,
but it turned out to be more fun than I expected,
and before I knew it,
I was singing every time.
People watching my channel for the first time
are sometimes surprised because I suddenly start singing,
but usually, they laugh
and accept it with an open mind,
which I am very grateful for.
Recently,
the number of people looking forward to it has increased,
I've started receiving happy comments,
and I've even started getting a bit carried away.
And so,
I sing every time.
I always add plenty of the secret ingredient of fun!!
I am truly grateful that more people are enjoying it with me.
Thank you.
By the way,
the parody songs
are usually thought of while I'm walking my dog, Toranosuke,
singing this and that as I walk,
and that's when I often come up with the lyrics.
Sometimes the parody comes to me right away,
other times it doesn't come to me at all,
and I start to panic, wondering what to do.
I mean, there's no rule
that I have to sing a parody every time,
so if the lyrics don't come to me,
it should be fine to have times without a parody song.
But still, I get desperate
and end up thinking, 'this won't work, that won't work.'
Today,
I introduced Chinese-style stir-fried thick fried tofu with green onions,
and I thought about various songs for the thick fried tofu,
but this time, I really struggled.
I just couldn't come up with a good song.
The first one I thought of,
though I say it myself,
wasn't funny at all, so I scrapped it.
The next one I thought of
was a parody of the children's song 'Shabondama' (Soap Bubbles).
Soap bubbles flew, flew up to the roof,
flew up to the roof, broke and disappeared~~
to the melody of that song,
Thick fried tofu grilled~~ grilled until golden,
grilled until golden, coated in sweet miso,
green onion, green onion, oyster,
let's eat thick fried tofu♪
......Total failure...
It didn't rhyme with the original lyrics at all
and there was no clever twist to the lyrics either...
This just won't do...
But I couldn't think of any other song to replace it with,
and if I couldn't come up with another parody song, was I stuck with this one...?
Just as I was thinking that, it came to me:
a parody of GeGeGe no Kitaro.
Ge, ge, gegege no ge~~
In the morning, I'm in bed going goo-goo-goo
That one,
and so,
Ge, ge, atsuage no ge~~~
Coat it in potato starch and sizzle-sizzle-sizzle
Yeah♪ This might work.
Feels good...
Wait, hold on!!
I've used GeGeGe no Kitaro once before
for the Chinese cabbage salad!!!
Ha, ha, hakusai no ha~~
Even if you eat it raw, it's goo♪ goo♪ goo♪
Should I use the same song again, or what?
No, it's not really something worth worrying about,
but I was actually quite worried about it.
A parody of 'Shabondama' (Soap Bubbles):
Fried the atsuage, fried it until golden brown~~♪
A parody of GeGeGe no Kitaro:
Ge, ge, atsuage no ge~~~♪
When I compared these two,
I thought GeGeGe no Kitaro was the way to go.
So, this one was adopted!!
Clap clap clap...♪
Even so,
what on earth am I worrying about
when it has nothing to do with cooking...
No, no, no, it's a trivial matter,
but I am being very serious here.
Please take a listen if you'd like.
First, starting with the Chinese cabbage salad I introduced before
(I'd prefer you listen to this one first... my singing is worse in this one)
