For those of you who hesitate to leave a comment — Your words might be saving someone more than you imagine
Hello, or good evening✨
Welcome to the land of healing🌟
When reading note, there are many moments when you think, "This article is really great," aren't there?✨
"This illustration is so cute!" or "Yes, yes, I totally relate!!"
But you open the comment section, start typing, and then your finger stops right before the send button...
I imagine there are many of you who have had that experience.
Actually, I was one of them... (;^ω^)
"Is it okay to send this?" "Will they think I'm weird?" "Is this what the creator meant?" I would delete and rewrite my sentences over and over, only to end up closing the window without sending anything.
Even though I have the desire to comment, for some reason, I just can't take that final step...
But this isn't just you. I'm sure there are many people struggling with the same thing.
Why do we get so nervous about leaving a comment?
There is a real reason why you freeze up in front of the comment section.
The feeling of "I don't want to be disliked" or "I don't want to be annoying."
The anxiety that "I might be taking up the other person's valuable time."
The worry that "Is my vocabulary good enough?" because I'm not confident in my writing skills.
Plus, there's the "Is it okay to suddenly comment when we aren't that close yet?" problem, isn't there?
On social media, you have to judge the other person's face, personality, expressions, and the feelings behind their writing based solely on text, so I feel it has a different kind of difficulty compared to face-to-face interaction (´・ω・`)
But I think the reason you worry about these things is because you are a kind person.
It's precisely because you are someone who cares about others that you struggle with this...
The honest truth about 'comments' from the creator's perspective
I will tell you honestly from the perspective of a writer.
Though I'm not sure if I'm even someone who can call myself a 'writer' ( ´∀` )
Comments make me sooooo happy (*‘ω‘ *)
I love receiving comments (^^♪
Even if it's just one word, when a comment arrives, I can feel that "Oh, someone read this," and it makes my day a little brighter✨
No matter how short, it serves as proof that it "reached" someone.
Conversely, it feels lonely when there is nothing at all...
There are moments when I feel anxious, wondering, "Is anyone reading this?" or "Did this not resonate with anyone?"💦
That is why the very fact that you thought, "I want to comment," is already something that makes me incredibly happy.
I think you are appreciated more than you realize✨
What kind of comments are safe to send?
Some of you might be thinking, "But I don't know what to write."
It's okay; it doesn't have to be an impressive comment, and it doesn't have to be long(^^♪
For example, feedback like "This part really hit home" or "I loved this sentence" is more than enough.
Empathy like "I totally understand this...!" or a simple thank you like "I'm glad I read this today" is also fine.
When I'm told, "I felt healed!", I find myself grinning about it for the rest of the day(*´з`)
As long as you aren't posting comments that are character attacks or condescending, you are truly fine.
There is no need to worry about whether your words are "right." Your honest feelings are the most welcome comments of all✨
Having a few template phrases makes commenting much easier
If you find yourself overthinking and unable to write, I recommend trying out a template—though I shouldn't say this too loudly. How about a short phrase like these?
"I totally get it!"
"I read this part over and over again."
"Your example of ○○ was very easy to understand."
Simply putting your feeling of "I liked this article" into words is enough.
Think of templates as magic words that gently give you a push. I shouldn't say this too loudly, though ( ´∀` )
A "small step" to try when you are still feeling anxious
If you are scared to comment right away, why not start with even smaller steps?
First, just try hitting the like button. Even that tells the writer, "Someone read this."
Once you get used to it, try sending a short, standard comment just once.
Try leaving just one sentence occasionally on the articles of someone you always read.
I think that level of lightness is just fine✨
I am very happy to hear that(^^♪
It is perfectly fine to just leave a quick word whenever you feel like it.
Please try it at your own pace, without any pressure✨
A comment doesn't have to be a "permit to get closer," it can just be a "simple signal."
You might worry, "If I comment, do I have to keep interacting after this?" or "Do I have to become friends?"
But it's okay, that's not the case at all.
I think a comment can be as light as a signal saying, "This article reached me properly" ( ´∀` )
After that, if you feel something again, you can comment, and if not, that's fine too. If it doesn't click, you can quietly move on.
Just leaving a single comment fulfills that role perfectly.
You don't need to worry too much about "what happens next in the relationship."
You only need to reach out when your feelings are moved✨
Summary: Your words might be saving someone more than you imagine
The very feeling of "I want to comment" is already a form of kindness✨
If you can turn that feeling into words, it might be supporting someone.
Let me say this as a writer(?). There are days when your words save me.
After you finish reading this article, if you come across a piece of writing somewhere that you think is "nice," please feel free to leave just one word behind(*´з`)
It doesn't have to be perfect, and it can be short. Your honest feelings might make someone's tomorrow a little brighter.
Please consider joining the membership as well(^^♪
