Things to try for just 5 minutes before blaming yourself for lacking motivation
Hello, or good evening✨️
Welcome to the land of healingヾ(*´∀`*)ノ
“I have to do it, but I have absolutely no motivation.”
Don't you have days like that?
I have to study.
I have to get work done.
I have to write an article.
I have to clean my room.
Even though I know it in my head, for some reason my body won't move.
Time passes just by looking at my smartphone,
and before I know it, I feel depressed, thinking, “I didn't get anything done again.”
And in the end,
“Why am I so useless?”
I end up blaming myself.
I'm the same way.
Regularly, or rather, almost every day (lol)
But first, I want to tell you this:
Having a day where you lack motivation does not mean you are a lazy person.
People cannot always work hard in the same way.
There are days when you are tired.
There are days when your feelings can't keep up.
There are days when you have so much to do that you don't know where to start.
At times like that, if you suddenly think,
“I have to do it perfectly,”
“I have to finish it to the end,”
your heart will only feel heavier, won't it...
That's why, especially when you lack motivation, I want to recommend the method of
“trying it for just a little bit.”
For example, just 5 minutes.
If it's painful after that, it's okay to stop!
“Wait, is it okay to stop?”
you might think.
It is. Let's just stop!
What's important is not to work hard from start to finish, but
to first try working on it just a little bit.For example, if it's studying,
open the reference book and read just one page.
If it's cleaning,
put back just three things on your desk.
If it's work,
open the file and write just the first sentence.
If it's an article,
decide only the title.
Create only the headings.
Write down just one line of the words that came to mind.
It's okay if it's this small.
Strangely enough, once people start moving, they can even continue doing things that were such a hassle that they didn't have the motivation (so-called) for✨
It's an amazing feature, isn't it~!
Even though it felt so heavy at first,
“Since I'm at it, maybe I'll do a little more.”
That's what happens.
Or maybe you aren't even thinking that.
It really just continues 'naturally'.
Of course, that doesn't always happen every time.
There are days when you try for 5 minutes and it's still tough.
There are days when you can't concentrate.
There are days when you can't keep going.
On days like that, it's okay to stop there.
That is not a failure.
At the very least, you faced it for 5 minutes.
It's not zero.
You have properly taken one step forward.
When we lack motivation, we tend to
“I have to work harder,”
“This isn't good enough,”
and drive ourselves into a corner.
But when you are cornered and unable to move, what you need is not stronger words, but perhaps a small trigger that allows you to move just a little bit.
It doesn't have to be a big step.
It doesn't have to be a perfect day.
You don't have to finish everything.
First, just 5 minutes.
If that's still too much, it's okay to rest today.
By creating an escape route for yourself like that,
surprisingly, your heart becomes a little easier to move.
Things that feel painful when you think “I absolutely have to do this”
feel a little lighter when you think “just for 5 minutes.”
And that 5 minutes
can sometimes help your future self.
With today's 5 minutes, your desk gets a little cleaner.
With today's 5 minutes, the first sentence of an article is born.
With today's 5 minutes, your tomorrow self becomes a little more at ease.
Even just that is plenty amazing.
Before blaming yourself for lacking motivation,
please try just 5 minutes first.
If you can do it, please praise yourself a little.
If you can continue, that is very amazing.
Even if you can't continue, you are still great for having tried to start.
It's okay not to be perfect today, too.
Even if it's a small step,
it becomes the power to move forward properly.
May your 5 minutes
make your heart feel a little lighter♪

Actually, this article was written at the very, very beginning of my note journey, as my third article.
I looked back at it after a long time, thought 'maybe this can be reused!?', and wrote this article ( ´∀` )
Blogs...
There were things like that, weren't there... (distant look)
I've written a bit more in detail about continuing in this paid article below, so please check it out if you're interested.
I think the content of this article alone is effective enough, though (*´艸`)
See you in the next article♪
