Museum Introduction No. 27: BOTANICA MUSEUM vol. 1
Hello! This is Maitaku.
This is sudden, but I was watching a TV show the other day that was doing a walk around a town in Chiba Prefecture...
And one of the facilities they introduced there was a really nice place... ☺️
Well, when that happens...
On my elementary school report card, it said, "Maitaku-kun has no composure, so please try to be a little calmer 😑"
...and I, Maitaku, have reached my late 40s without ever heeding those kind words from my teacher at all...
It's pouring rain, but I'm going anyway! 👊
...so, I hopped into my beloved car, XX-taku (it doesn't have a name yet 😅), and came here!
That's right! It's the botanical garden "BOTANICA MUSEUM" located in Mihama Ward, Chiba Prefecture!!😆

Regarding this "BOTANICA MUSEUM"...
Oh, it was built quite recently!
...I just realized that while writing this article 😅
That said, it feels like they renewed the facility that had existed as the "Flower Museum" for a long time, so yeah 😊
Well, let's take a look at how it has changed! 😆
...well, I had never been to the "Flower Museum" before, though (*´∇｀*)
So, let's sneak into this "BOTANICA MUSEUM," which has been brilliantly reborn from the "Flower Museum"! 👊

1. Garden Scenery (Scenery in front of the entrance)
Now, let's get straight to the scenery inside the garden!!
...or so I'd like to say, but...
The scenery of the garden in front of the entrance was quite lovely, too, you see😊
First, I'll introduce that!
And, passing through the gate, it's like this...
You can see the museum a little further to the left, but there's also some kind of green object further down this path...

This is great, isn't it? (*´∇｀*)
I feel a touch of my favorite artist, Magritte, in this!😆
How should I put it...🤔
Just having one exhibit like this that's been stylized makes this place not just a "botanical garden" but an "art museum"!
...I can feel a strong will behind that...☺️
I, Maitaku,
felt my passion for art appreciation skyrocket the moment I saw this!😤
And there was also a scene spreading out that seemed to cool down my excitement a little...

On a rainy day like today, the colors actually stand out more, which is quite nice...☺️

2. Exhibits inside the building
So, I've arrived!
As for this "BOTANICA MUSEUM"...
How about this? This magnificent appearance!
It's a masterpiece right from the start... ☺️

...or so I'd like to say, but...
Before I introduce the inside of the museum, let me tell you a little about its concept...
The concept of this museum is
"A place to remember the miracle of nature"
...and so...
While focusing on the field of "plants" in particular...
Let's think about "hints to enrich our human lives and hearts"!!
...is what it seems to be about...
Fully produced by a flower artist named HIKARU SEINO...
Works where plants and art are beautifully fused are displayed everywhere. 😊
With that said, first is this...
This is a work called MIRACLE TREE! 😆
This MIRACLE TREE is said to grow in places where you can feel "love" and "hope," and in sacred places.
So, it seems to be something that can only be seen in special, limited-access places that people and animals cannot disturb... ☺️
I, Maitaku...
I spent quite a long time looking at this work...
I might have been influenced by the description, but this fairy-tale-like, colorful atmosphere and overwhelming presence, which probably doesn't exist in the real natural world...
I feel like it has a very strong power...☺️
The moment I came to this museum and saw this work for the first time, I sincerely thought, "I'm so glad I came here (*´∇｀*)"
...and I felt it intensely. 😊
And next is this work...
This is a work called "BOTANICALIEN" 😊
As for this BOTANICALIEN, it seems to inhabit regions such as forests and wetlands...
It seems its ecology involves living by gaining energy from sunlight and starlight through the plant-like shape of its upper body😊
This piece is also quite interesting, isn't it? (*´∇｀*)
And, the image posted earlier is the spring/summer version, and...
I somehow imagine that the back side is the autumn/winter version😊
Judging by the look of the lower body, I wonder if it's a woman?🤔
...or maybe it doesn't have the concept of gender at all...😅
And, because it has no facial expression...
...or rather, because you can't see it, it also gives off a slightly eerie atmosphere.
Personally, I have a slightly negative image of it, but I feel it's the kind of work where the impression varies greatly depending on how each viewer perceives it😊
In any case, I think it's a work that makes you think deeply about various things😊
