GENIO! Josef Lhévinne & Tsuyoshi Kon! (A Mirror as a Mentor, and Becoming the Wind)
⚜️⚜️⚜️The Aesthetics of a Genius of Geniuses of Geniuses! Josef Lhévinne & Tsuyoshi Kon⚜️⚜️⚜️
Regarding the fact that although Josef Lhévinne is one of the greatest pianists to transcend time, his fame did not spread as widely across the world as Sergei Rachmaninoff's, I personally feel that the same could be said for the great master Tsuyoshi Kon.
However, that way of thinking is not necessarily correct.
I believe that Josef Lhévinne is not well known because he fulfilled his position as a mentor without competing with other pianists, but most people are unaware that the great master Tsuyoshi Kon is called in to play the parts that even those who are now treated as super popular guitarists find 'difficult and cannot play well,' and not just as a studio musician.
Also, I suspect that not many people know that even for bands that are popular now, when they debuted, they were 'bad,' so the great master Kon would think up and create parts that were lowered to a level they could play.
Perhaps that is why the great master Kon is not included in the 'Greatest Guitarists of All Time' ranking in the January issue of Guitar Magazine. It is an impossible story.
The great master Kon is also the person who thought up the wonderful intro to Akira Terao's 'Ruby no Yubiwa' and led it to win the Japan Record Award.
He was chosen to back Yosui Inoue, and Yosui Inoue has had a string of big hits.
He has also played for Toshiki Kadomatsu when asked to 'please play.'
Miyuki Nakajima, Hikaru Utada, they are all the great master Kon.
And yet, Hikaru Utada seems to have only recognized the great master Kon as 'the guitar guy,' which makes me think, 'Give me a break!' Even if you are the daughter of Keiko Fuji, Mr. Kon is much older and a person with richer life experience. Calling him 'the guitar guy' is unacceptable.
Call him 'Sensei'!!!
Among the 'Tsuyoshi Kon Guitar Solo Collection,' his performance on Toshiki Kadomatsu's stage is a must-see.
At this time, the great master Kon does not have the face of a mentor like Lhévinne, but when it comes to guitar solos, he plays intensely.
Even so, there is not a single bit of noise, his beautiful choking vibrato shines, and in any case, it is cool!
This is my personal opinion, but I think it comes from the beauty of his finger work and the ultimate technique of sliding, which guitarists who only play fast cannot achieve.
Besides, the charm of the great master Kon is that his sound is the most beautiful!
At this time, there is also a co-performance with Jun Kajiwara, who is like a younger brother.
It is only natural that Toshiki Kadomatsu would bring the great master Kon along even if he had to force him.
I think, I'm already good with Toshiki Kadomatsu's singing, so can't we hurry up and get to the guitar solo.
Toshiki Kadomatsu exists because of the great master Tsuyoshi Kon.
Yosui Inoue exists because of the great master Tsuyoshi Kon.
Miyuki Nakajima exists because of the great master Tsuyoshi Kon.
Hikaru Utada exists because of the great master Tsuyoshi Kon.
Everyone! Your heads are too high!!!
Do not forget the existence of the great master Tsuyoshi Kon!!!
And do not forget the existence of Josef Lhévinne!!!
They are wonderful!
And far away....
Becoming the wind.....
C'est magnifique! C'est loin.... ⚜️

❇️I love Mr. Tsuyoshi Kon so much, so I just suddenly felt that 'it is similar to the fact that Lhévinne is not well known.'
Because my bias toward the great master Tsuyoshi Kon is so strong,
perhaps I am thinking something selfish, off-base,
and wrong.
That is why....
This way of thinking is not necessarily correct.
This is strictly a personal opinion.
Also, it can be said like this.
Mr. Tsuyoshi Kon is a wonderful and grateful person just by existing there.
In any case, he is cool!
That is all I can say.
'Without saying this or that, it's Tsuyoshi Kon.'
And I am captivated by the aesthetics of his lovely long hair that has turned white.

This article was originally a proper article that I wrote with time and effort, which was included in the 'Classical Universalization Magazine.'
Three years ago, I introduced Lhévinne and Solomon to Mr. Daiki Wada.
