Ancient Nordic Runes: Messages You Need Right Now
🌿 Introduction (Rune Reading)
Nice to meet you! ✨
I usually use ancient Nordic runes to
gently deliver "the messages you need right now" through my readings.
Runes might look difficult at first glance, but...
they are actually very warm,
and feel like a "companion that stays by your side when your heart is tired."
I once had a time in my life when everything was a mess
and I thought, "I don't know where I'm supposed to go..."
That was when I encountered runes.
They were the ones that saved me.
Even though they are just small stones,
they reflected "my true feelings" exactly as they were,
and I was saved to the point of tears.
Since then, I have continued doing readings
to gently nudge those who are
"a little tired,"
"want to take a step forward but can't find the courage,"
or "are lost about what to do in love or work."
I usually deliver things like:
✅ Today's fortune
✅ The flow of love and work
✅ Hints to bring out your "true potential"
✅ Small actions for good luck
along with the runes 🍀
If you are new here, please feel free to leave a comment.
Even just saying "I want someone to listen to how I feel" is very welcome.
May your day become a little lighter and gentler 🌙✨
The air before dusk still held a bit of the spring chill. As I walked up the slope from the station, I could see a small general store that had been converted from an old Western-style building. The wooden sign simply read "Mira's Small Room," and the scent of dried herbs slowly mingled with the breeze from the slightly dim interior.
In the back of the shop, there was a small desk and a space for readings covered with a cloth. Sitting there was Mira, a fortune teller who always smiled softly. I didn't know her age. Sometimes she had a mature calmness, and other times she showed an innocent expression like a child.
I sat down in front of her and let out a small sigh.
"Lately, nothing has been going well... It feels like everything, both work and my private life, has come to a complete stop."
Mira nodded deeply and then held out a small bag. Inside the bag were several old stones engraved with runes.
"Please mix them and pick three that you are drawn to."
As I put my hand in as told, the cool, cold sensation of the stones reached me. A mysterious silence seemed to gradually calm the restlessness in my chest.
I pulled out "Uruz," "Hagalaz," and "Ingwaz." I had never heard of any of these names, but the shapes engraved on the stones felt warm somehow. For some reason, the moment I chose them, I felt, "This is fine."
"First, Uruz. This is a rune that represents 'inner strength.' You have been working too hard without realizing it. Strength isn't just about moving forward. Stopping and embracing yourself is also a form of strength."
Her words made my chest ache with warmth. It was because I had been blaming myself for everything lately.
"Next... Hagalaz. This means storm or chaos. But you don't need to be afraid. This is 'necessary destruction.' There are views that can only be seen by things breaking down. Your life is just in a period of 'reorganization.'"
Things I had lost and relationships I had ended crossed my mind. I felt crushed by regret and guilt, but hearing that it was 'to set things right' made my heart feel a little lighter.
'Finally, there is Ingwaz, the rune of the seed. Within you lies potential that has yet to sprout. A seed waiting for spring does not rush; it patiently waits for the warmth. Your current stillness is simply preparation for growth.'
The moment I finished hearing those words, tears spilled out.
I had spent so many days blaming myself for my weaknesses that I had convinced myself, somewhere deep down, that 'nothing will ever begin again.' But the story the runes told as they lay there was somehow gentle.
'There is strength, there is necessary change, and there is a new sprout. It may seem like a coincidence, but it is an inevitable combination.'
Mira-san said this and gently offered me a cup of warm tea. The aroma was sweet, as if it were melting into the deepest parts of my chest.
'Divination is not something that decides your future. It is a mirror that reflects the story within you. The runes you chose today are telling you that it is not over yet.'
Those words reached my heart with surprising directness.
On my way home, as I walked down the hill, I gently touched the note I had tucked into my pocket. On it were written: 'Uruz: Inner Strength,' 'Hagalaz: Fluctuation,' and 'Ingwaz: Sprouting.'
The color of the sunset gently dyed the roofs of the town.
With every step I took, I felt as if a small light deep in my chest had suddenly grown brighter.
—Perhaps it is still okay to start something.
Just being able to think that made my steps feel so much lighter.
The rune stones from that day are still lined up on my desk.
Even on days when I feel down, or nights when I cannot sleep from anxiety, looking at them strangely helps settle my heart.
Having strength, falling apart, and sprouting anew.
The runes gently teach me that all of these are proof that I am truly living my own life.
