The local diner 'Ouchi Gohan Harune' appears in Episode 1 of 'Solitary Gourmet' Season 11...

I have no other topic for today. I simply have to talk about this episode. Lol

'Solitary Gourmet' Season 11 has started, and I watched the first episode today.

The show begins with an Odakyu train. Goro Inogashira arrives at Zenko Station in Fujisawa City for work and visits a violin school located about a 15-minute drive from the station.

In the scene at the school in a residential area of Zenko, a child is playing the violin. The teacher, played by Naho Toda, watches the child's performance gently. There is another adult man in the room. When he starts playing, it sounds like noise, a 'screeching' sound. Goro Inogashira covers his ears. It seems that man gets nervous and can't play well when people are listening. So, Goro leaves the room to wait for a while.

Violin screeching is a plausible story, but I personally thought that was too extreme. Conversely, you could say it was a brilliant piece of direction.

The violin teacher seems to have asked Goro to propose interior designs for her villa. She seems satisfied with the proposal, but then that man's screeching sound starts again... lol.

The business meeting goes well, and Goro walks through the town. He feels heartwarming seeing the nostalgic concrete pipe tunnel in the park. On a park bench, a man is stuffing his face with a bento during a break from work. Then, as usual, 'I'm hungry...' happens.

I paused the video at this scene.

Because, I felt like I had seen that concrete pipe tunnel in the park before.

When I went back and played that scene again (I would have said 'rewound' in the old days, but what do we call it now? lol), there was no mistake. The houses visible from the angle on the other side of the tunnel, and the swings in the park. It was exactly the scenery I see all the time.

The park sign was briefly visible, but the name wasn't shown. However, I was convinced. This is Nishihanezawa Park in Fujisawa City that I pass by when walking my dog.

After that, Goro walks through the residential area to look for a restaurant as usual. However, there are no eateries around here. After walking around, he finds a shop with a 'Yakitori' lantern hanging. But it's not open yet. After walking for a while, he finds a flag that says 'Yaki...'. Is it Yakitori? But that shop is a 'Roasted Sweet Potato' shop.

※ I recognize this place too. Hey, wait, isn't that a shop that sells tomatoes? Did they sell roasted sweet potatoes too?

Goro finds a diner next to that shop.

Wait, I know this place too. I feel like the sign changed recently, but it is undoubtedly the shop I know. Although, I have never been there.

I never imagined that a diner just a 5-minute walk from my house would become the setting for 'Solitary Gourmet'!

In the drama, Goro-san eats things like grilled mackerel in mirin and pork miso soup. The horse mackerel fry that the regulars eat also looks delicious.

The landlady is played by Alisa Mizuki. Her daughter works there too. I mean, when did Mizuki-san reach the age to play the mother of such a grown daughter? I'm surprised.

According to my eldest daughter, they were filming around this area in Oba, Fujisawa City last month, and she saw Mizuki-san there. It's a small world.

Yutaka Matsushige walked through this town too, didn't he? For some reason, that makes me strangely happy.

This is not a diner in Zengyo, Fujisawa City. It is a distance of over 15 minutes by car from Zengyo.It is a shop in Oba, Fujisawa City. The nearest station is JR Tsujido Station.Please change the title now. Thank you very much, haha. Well, I guess that's impossible.
