[DQ 1&2 HD-2D Play Memo] #50 Since I got the Final Key
Since I got the Final Key from the priest at the Rhone Shrine,
I'm going to go look for unopened treasure chests and such.
...

It's cold today, so
let's go look for treasure chests!
(In Rhone)
First, Zoom to Midenhall!

Finally, when it comes to this area, my memory is hazy,
and I don't really remember
what is where...
Was this the place where the Token of Erdrick was in the FC version?
Since I got the token,
I'll go to the Holy Shrine (was that it?) and
go receive the Helm of Erdrick...

What is this!?
(Midenhall)

Th-this is!(Player's perspective)

Alefgard!?(Midenhall)
From a player's perspective,
this is an intense story.
Speaking of DQ3,
in the end, were Ortega, the hero of Alefgard,
and his son, the DQ3 hero,
unable to return?
When I think about the hero's grandfather,
his son (Ortega) and grandson (DQ3 hero)
both went missing...
I feel sorry for the grandfather in Alefgard (tears)
Or perhaps,
like in DQ11,
are worlds with different timelines
progressing?
I would be happy if
this was explained in DQ12,
but in the end, what is happening
with the development of DQ12?
Well,
since I'm at it,
I'll look for the Erdrick equipment series.
I'll go to Cantlin, where the Sword of Kings was repaired in DQ3.
I'm assuming the rusted sword can't just be left as is...

The event started.

They say it can be repaired if I have Orichalcum.
However,
I have no idea where the Orichalcum is.
For now,
the soldier at the smithy in Cantlin
gave me a hint saying, "You should go to Damdara,"
so
Arrived at Damdara.

I see.
There was a rough-looking guy there, and he said,
"I don't know about Orichalcum,
but there might be someone in Mercado who knows,"
so
Arrived at Mercado.

A young scholar said,
"You should go to Tantegel,"
he said.
What is this Gandadada
the scholar is talking about?
Arrived at Tantegel. (So much traveling lol)

Yeah, yeah,
Kandata, right?
No, I knew that already (lol)
Apparently, Kandata
stole the Orichalcum
and intended to give it to the hero
when something happened.
The place he hid it
is apparently where he shared a friendship with the hero...
If I recall, this cave (forgot the name)
and I hadn't even reached it in DQ2.
Traveling on foot for the first time in a while.

In the Famicom version,
there was nothing special here,
and I think I just used it
for leveling up...?
Hmm,
what was it?
This cave?
As a result of the exploration,

Returned to Cantlin and
repaired it!

Or rather, it's become stronger!
I finally obtained the Sword of Erdrick.
...?
In the FC version of 2,
this wasn't a thing, right?
I remember the Sword of Erdrick being
disappointingly weak?
The shield was
already collected in Cannock.
As for the armor...

The FC version....
Was it Rhone?
I wandered around quite a bit.
Well, soon
I will head to
Hargon's Castle.
By the way,
why is it that only the sword
was rusted?
Was the Dragonlord's great-grandchild
bad at storing it?!
See you next time!
