Maholova Minds Miura Family Stay Blog | Experiencing the Pool, Water Park, and Buffet for Two Consecutive Years

Maholova Minds Miura was where we stayed for our children's birthday trip for two years in a row. Last year we stayed for 2 days and 1 night, and this time we stayed for 3 days and 2 nights with our 6-year-old and 2-year-old boys.

The main reason the children said they wanted to stay again was the pool inside the hotel.

The "Water Park" at Maholova Minds Miura consists of a 25-meter heated pool and a spa park where you can enjoy warm baths in your swimsuit. Furthermore, there is a buffet featuring kid-friendly dishes and tuna delivered directly from Misaki, which satisfied both the children and the adults.

Since we stayed for 2 days and 1 night for my eldest son's birthday in 2024 as well, I asked,

I want to go!
, we decided to make it a 3-day, 2-night trip this time.

What is the Maholova Minds Miura Water Park? The difference between the heated pool & spa park

The Water Park at Maholova Minds Miura does not just refer to a typical leisure pool.

The official website describes it as a facility that combines a "25m heated pool" for swimming and underwater walking, and a "spa park" where you can use bubble baths, waterfall showers, and saunas while wearing a swimsuit.

A key feature is that family members can choose how they want to enjoy themselves within the same facility, such as children in the heated pool and adults in the spa park's bubble baths.

Children under 3 can only use the toddler pool

My 2-year-old second son was with us this time.

Children under 3 can only use the toddler-only pool. When we stayed, there were toys provided in the toddler pool, and my second son enjoyed them. Since it is a heated pool, he seemed to be able to play for a relatively long time.

The official website states that children under 3 or those wearing diapers can only use the toddler-only pool in both the spa park and the 25m heated pool, and that wearing swim diapers is required.

My impressions of actually using the 25m heated pool and spa park

It was relatively uncrowded on the weekday in September 2025 when we visited.

My 6-year-old eldest son enjoyed the pool, and after I swam in the 25m heated pool, I relaxed my body in the bubble bath at the Kur Park.

I feel that the difference between this and a typical hotel pool is that it doesn't end with just letting the children play in the pool; adults can also relax in the hot spring facilities.

What I was looking forward to this time was the "Water Athletic." This has a height restriction of 110cm or taller, and since my eldest son couldn't use it last year, this was a retry.

You climb and descend floating equipment on the water surface, but it sways quite a bit.

My eldest son is quite timid, so he kept holding my hand the whole time while shouting, "Eek, it's scary!" but I think he enjoyed it (probably).

The Maholova Minds Miura buffet didn't get boring even after staying for 2 nights

Since we stayed for 3 days and 2 nights, we used the dinner buffet twice, but we didn't get bored at all.
*As of our stay in September 2025, there were over 40 varieties including tuna shipped directly from Misaki and seasonal ingredients.

On the first day, we tried a wide range of the menu, and on the second day, we were able to focus on the dishes that were delicious the day before, so our satisfaction actually increased.

What the kids enjoyed were the fried chicken, french fries, melon, and cake.
There was also a chocolate fondue, so they were super excited. My wife didn't seem to want them to eat too much of it, though lol

For adults, there was tuna sashimi, sushi, steak, tempura, and more. My 6-year-old eldest son was so satisfied that he spontaneously said, "This is the best."
(My eldest son sometimes makes comments like an old man 🤣)

At breakfast, the small rice balls made right in front of you, the smoothies, the barley rice with grated yam, and the tuna chazuke left a lasting impression.

80㎡ Sky Suite Room

Our room this time is 80㎡!
Since room availability was limited when I tried to book, I decided to splurge a little on a Sky Suite room.

The guest rooms have a layout closer to a condo unit than a typical hotel. According to an article in the real estate media 'RBA', Maholova Minds Miura was originally planned as a condominium but was converted into a hotel after the bubble burst.

Also, since there is a kitchen, a desk, and other amenities, you can live just as you do at home.

I prefer to read note articles and write comments on a PC as much as possible, so having a desk where I could use my laptop was personally very good.

There is a free shuttle bus, but since it is a 7-minute walk from Miura-Kaigan Station, you can get to the hotel without waiting for the shuttle. This is appreciated when traveling with two boys who cannot sit still.
