However, he was too big and ended up being kicked out of the house.
He was even put in a zoo...
This is the first book in the series that depicts how Papa, who was avoided by the townspeople because he was too big, gradually becomes a popular figure.

First of all, I was surprised to learn that Barbapapa is actually a "ghost"! 😂 lol
He gets kicked out of his house, escapes from the zoo, and yet,
Papa's pure desire to "be helpful to others" without giving up slowly changes the hearts of the people around him.

It's a favorite book of my daughter's, and
we read it while talking about things like, "Why did Barbapapa get put in the zoo?" 📖

The author, Annette Tison, is an architect.
The detailed depiction of buildings and town layouts is also a highlight. ✨
My recommendation is the very last page. It's a testament to her skill that she could draw this composition so naturally in an era without drones!
