Dōgu-dō (The Way of Tools) — Grasping the essence of tools and mastering them. A practical record of putting this into words.

I started a business overseas when I was young and have spent over 30 years abroad. My specialty is user interface design. In my spare time, as a DJ, I have continued to dig into the lineage of dance music and black music, label by label, from Philadelphia International and Salsoul to Def Jam and Death Row.

From that experience, I can say that the difference between someone who can "truly use" a tool and someone who "uses it somewhat" is not the depth of their understanding, but how they frame their questions.

AI is the same. In this note, I break down the latest tools as instruments, writing about their structure and how to use them. This is not for engineers.
