I visited the Shinto Village Ear Ornament Museum!
I visited the Ear Ornament Museum in Shinto Village.
This is where a friend who started working at the Shinto Village office this April was assigned following a personnel transfer.
Because of that, I had been thinking, "I really want to visit at least once!"
Since I had some free time, my spouse and I went to visit.
When we entered the museum, it happened to be my friend's shift.
There was a wide variety of exhibits, including the history of ear ornaments from around the world, as well as proverbs and folktales related to ears, all of which were fascinating.
In particular, the sheer number of ear ornaments displayed by country and region was nothing short of spectacular.
After looking around, we happened to run into a mutual friend who was also visiting, so we decided to try making magatama beads while we were at it.
We spent about an hour carving the stones and each finished our own unique magatama.

Finally, we dressed up in Jomon period costumes and took a commemorative photo.
Personally, I want to make a better magatama, so I am planning to visit again!

As for this facility, the admission fee is 200 yen for adults, and the magatama making experience is 300 yen for adults.
It is very appreciated to be able to enjoy so much for just one coin.
