MGVs wines have won Gold and Silver at the IWC (The International Wine Challenge) 2025, one of the world's largest and most prestigious blind tasting competitions held in London!

Gold Medal: K235 Ichinomiya-cho Utsukida 2020
Silver Medal: B153 Katsunuma-cho Hikimae 2019
Silver Medal: K531 GI Yamanashi 2023
Commended: K138 Katsunuma-cho 2019 POSH

In London, the hub of the wine trade, Japanese Koshu wines and even barrel-aged wines have historically not been highly regarded.
Against this backdrop, the fact that our barrel-aged K235 won Gold is a remarkable achievement.
I feel this may have been the catalyst to change the perception of barrel-aged Japanese wine.
