Was learning always this much fun?
I suppose I am a qualification enthusiast.
Certified Social Worker.
Fundamental Information Technology Engineer.
Kanji Kentei Level 2.
Mental Health Management Level 2.
The reasons for each are different.
Because it was necessary for work.
So I wouldn't have trouble in the field.
Because it seemed genuinely interesting.
Because I was just curious about it.
But there is one thing they all have in common.
The feeling that "learning is interesting."
For a while, I was going to the library constantly.
Every time I turned a page,
"Oh, so that's what that meant,"
"I see, so that's why this system exists,"
"So this is the logic behind how the world works."
It felt like pieces of a puzzle falling into place.
While touching books until my hands turned black,
I would lose track of time.
Learning is,
not about beating someone else,
and not about becoming someone important,
"increasing the resolution of the world." I think that is what it is.
Things that were hazy until yesterday
get a name.
Once they have a name,
you can handle them.
Once you can handle them,
you become a little bit stronger.
I want my members to
know this feeling too.
Not by saying "Go study."
But by saying "Learning is fun."
The moment you solve a problem you couldn't before.
The moment a word you didn't understand finally clicks.
That little fist pump.
I believe that is the power to move life forward just a little bit.
Perhaps I
might continue to earn certifications from here on out.
But that is
not because I want to add more titles to my name,
but because I want to see the world in a more interesting way.
Learning is
so much fun.
I want to be a supporter who can
gently pass on that spark.
