Harmony Resonating in the Spring Sky
Hello!
Today, I would like to introduce a wonderful, wonderful a cappella song and
please listen to my happy and precious experience this spring 🌸.
Hon-san, whom I met on note,
formed a group of six members called "hermosa rosa," handled everything from creating the song to recording it,
and it has now been released on YouTube 👏👏👏👏👏.
A wonderful, wonderful song. A wonderful, wonderful harmony.
The journey leading up to the release makes me feel deeply moved all over again.
This spring, I have been spending my time with this song.
In early February, around the time the plum blossoms were blooming, I received an illustration request from Hon-san. It was in the form of a professional job with proper compensation 😲.
From here, my joy and my internal negative conflict began.
"Gyaaa!! Oh my goodness! I'm so happy! Yes, absolutely!"
a side of me like Shokotan appeared, and
"Is my illustration really okay?"
"For such a precious song, wouldn't a more wonderful illustrator be better..."
a side of me like Kusanagi-kun from Miyashita Kusanagi appeared, and they took turns inside me.
...It's a long story...
Could you please imagine the conflict around this part?
At first, I thought, "No way!" regarding the compensation, but I do charge money for my postcards. I have to do this properly...
Since this was my first time doing an illustration request, I researched various sites.
About pricing. About copyright.
Hone-san interacted with me sincerely as an illustrator. I am truly grateful.
Since this was a data delivery, I was worried about copyright issues and whether I would sound arrogant when bringing it up to ensure it wouldn't fall into third-party hands, but Hone-san understood quickly... and even put it into a document for me.
And the illustration
The image Hone-san had was of the members becoming the animals they wanted to be and singing in a wide, sunlit meadow.
She also sent me the singing voices before the recording.
I remember my heart tightening the first time I listened to it. I shed warm tears, too.
She drew the illustration on her days off from her main job.
Her main job is in home care, and she travels quite a lot through mountainous areas.
How many times did I hum this song in the car while traveling on work days? The harmony of Hone-san and the others resonates through the mountain scenery and the sky I look up at.
I accepted the request at the beginning of February.
The deadline for the illustration was mid-March, when the recording would finish.
By the time I safely delivered it, the cherry blossoms had started to bloom.
The title image is from the furthest district in the mountainous area I visit for my main job.
I took it around the time the delivery was finished.

And one more thing.
I am moved by the wonderful image editing ✨
It was Hone-san who did the editing!
To make a static illustration look this wonderful 😭
