Letting go of daily note and looking at what is already there
After finishing the 100-day note challenge
Two weeks have passed before I knew it.
Things that were becoming a habit after writing every day for 100 days,
once you stop, you quickly
get used to days without writing.
It takes strength to continue, but it takes no effort to let go.
Even so, during that time, Itried to be conscious of replacing the time I spent on daily notes with other things.Continuing from last year, I decided to focus on my body again this year, so I decided to resume the bodywork time I had been neglecting.
Turning the time I spent facing the computer toward my own body.
It's not a very long time, but when I look at my own body,
I realize it's stiff and tense.
I started by carefully loosening it up little by little.
Besides the daily note, I also
decided to consciously reduce my time on Threads.
Since there were more posts about note on Threads, posts from various note creators started appearing on my timeline, but
every time those posts increased,
“You should post a lot”
“You should communicate carefully”
The timeline was being filled with content like that.
Furthermore, scenes of friendly interactions between creators were flowing by.
Before I knew it,I realized that I was feeling a sense of restlessness.
Even though I decided to stop the daily note and look at other things,
I feel like if I don't continue, I'll be left behind...
This is a behavioral pattern that comes from anxiety.
.........
That's right, this is when journaling comes into play🥷
“What do I really want to do?”
“Why do I post on note and Threads?”
Is it because someone says “You should do it” or “You shouldn't stop”?
Even though people have followed me, is it okay not to post?
Various questions arise. I will look at them one by one.
Instead of acting with the goal of finding new encounters or increasing followers,
I want to deepen the relationships with the people who are already following me.
That is what came to mind.
While I wasn't writing notes,
・I wrote closed notes for the members of the Journaling Lab.
・I decided that if I were to post on Threads, I would use that time to write my newsletter instead.
・I decided to create a new self-introduction article for those who have followed me.
・I spent time refining the content of the February journaling sheets for those who purchased the Journaling Textbook note.
Until now, I felt like I had to meet more and more people somewhere.
But, even if I don't meet anyone new, there are already people I have met.
On Threads, 1,000 people are following me,
and on Instagram, 1,300 people are following me.
There might be some overlap,
but this number is truly amazing.
※If I were to imagine this in real life, it would be a group of people that would make a shy person like me tremble lol.
Even without ever going viral or having tens of thousands of followers,
50 people purchased my journaling note in two weeks.
Moreover, while there were some new encounters, most of them were friends whose names and faces I already know.
I already have so many
people by my side who support me.
That's how I felt. I realized I want to cherish those people.
I have to meet many people, I have to post a lot,
I have to communicate with many people,
that was not comfortable for me right now.
I decided I want to spend my time comfortably, like tweeting about note-related things only when I feel like it,
or smiling at posts I truly resonate with or at scenes from everyday life.
I think it's wonderful how the pea sprouts I put in the sun look so comfortable.

I plan to increase my newsletter distribution in the future, so
if you are interested, please sign up here!
After registering, you will receive a journaling sheet and an audio guide,
and from the next day, you will receive 7 days of journaling prompts,
so please make use of them for some time to reflect on yourself!
See you later!
